What is a fungal nail infection?
Also known as onychomycosis, it's a common condition where fungus invades the nail bed - often through tiny cracks or breaks in the nail or surrounding skin.
It thrives in warm, damp environments (think sweaty socks, tight shoes, and is highly contagious - even between your own toes!
@ Early signs to look for:
Yellow, white, or brown discolouration
Thickened or crumbly texture
Nail separating from the nail bed
• Slight odour or build-up under the nail

What happens if you ignore it?
It becomes harder to treat
It can cause pain, pressure, and nail deformity
• It may spread to other nails or your skin (cue athlete's foot)
