Imagine there was a lost property box for all the things we leave behind as life gets busy.

Maybe yours has a hobby in it.
A bit of confidence.
Something you always wanted to do.
Your creativity.
Or simply the version of you that had more fun.

Most of these things don’t disappear overnight. We just stop making room for them.

And maybe we don’t always need to become someone new.

Sometimes we need to remember what was already there.

What is in your lost property box? 👇
One word is enough.

We can get so used to getting on with things that we don’t notice how little space we’ve left for ourselves.

Not everything needs a big life change.

Sometimes it’s doing something you enjoy again. Saying no. Going for a walk. Seeing people who make you feel good. Or having a few hours where nobody needs anything from you.

What have you not made enough time for lately?

What is one commitment you could make to yourself today?

Being told that something we did has hurt someone can feel uncomfortable, and our first reaction may be to defend ourselves.

Listening doesn’t mean automatically agreeing or taking all the blame. It means being open to hearing the other person and becoming more aware of how our actions may have affected them.

We all see the world through our own eyes. Our thoughts and perceptions are shaped by our lived experiences, so two people can experience the same situation very differently. We may not remember it in the same way, but we can still make space for each other’s experience.

Sometimes, speaking about the hurt is not an attack. It is an attempt to clear the air before it turns into distance or resentment.

Growth is not only about understanding ourselves. It is also about listening, becoming more aware and considering how our actions can affect others.

One reflection that has stayed with me while working on my MSc research is how easy it can be to overlook gradual change in ourselves.

Sometimes it’s only when we look back that we realise how much has shifted.

A lot of people think about change in practical terms first. A new routine. Better boundaries. More confidence. Less stress.

But underneath that, there is often a deeper wish. To feel calmer. To trust yourself more. To stop living in the same emotional pattern. To feel more at home in your own life.

If you could change one thing in a meaningful way, what would it be?

There’s a kind of exhaustion that sleep doesn’t reach.

You can take the weekend, switch your phone off, do everything you’re supposed to; and still wake up Monday with the same weight on your chest.

That’s because this kind of burnout isn’t really about being busy. It’s about carrying something quietly for too long. Holding it together. Performing okay. Putting yourself last without letting yourself feel any of it.

Real recovery isn’t just less doing. It’s understanding what you’ve been holding, and why you felt you had to hold it alone.

If this sounds familiar, save it for when you have a quiet moment.

Most people try to change how they feel by fighting the feeling.
But what if the real shift starts earlier, with the thought?

The way you think shapes the way you feel.
The way you feel shapes the way you react.
And the way you react shapes the life you keep creating.

That doesn’t mean pretending everything is positive. It means becoming aware of the patterns running beneath the surface, so you’re not being led by the same thoughts on autopilot.

This is where real change starts, not outside of you, but in the way you relate to what’s happening inside.

The way you talk to yourself becomes the way your mind learns to see you.

Most of the inner voice isn’t deliberate. It’s accumulated; old criticisms absorbed years ago, a tone you learned to expect, a running commentary that quietly shaped how you see yourself until you stopped hearing it as a voice at all. It just became the air.

Your unconscious doesn’t argue with what you tell it. It absorbs it. And over time, that internal language becomes the lens you move through the whole day in.

Noticing the tone is the first shift; not silencing it, but no longer letting it speak as if it were fact.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t what’s happening around you… it’s everything you’ve been carrying for so long.

If any of these signs feel familiar, it doesn’t mean you’re broken. It might just mean you’ve been holding more than you realise.

🤍If this resonates with you, send me a message. I’d be happy to chat.
