🏥 New occupational health service launches in Milton Keynes to support local businesses

Milton Keynes businesses now have access to a new local occupational health service, following a partnership between Hessington Health and Bloom Health Hospitals . 🤝

The aim is simple: help employers keep staff healthier, manage sickness absence more effectively and support people back into work. 💼❤️

For many businesses, especially smaller employers, a member of staff being off sick can have a big impact. It can put extra pressure on colleagues, slow down projects and increase costs. 📉

That is where occupational health support can help.

Hessington Health brings more than 15 years of experience in the sector and is now offering its services from Bloom Health Hospital in central Milton Keynes. 🩺

The service can support local employers with sickness absence, return-to-work assessments, pre-employment checks, drug screening, complex employee health cases and workplace wellbeing. ✅

It can also provide guidance around reasonable adjustments and Equality Act considerations, helping employers make informed decisions while supporting their staff properly. ⚖️

📍 Local support for MK employers

One of the biggest benefits for Milton Keynes businesses is having this type of specialist support available locally.

Bloom Health is based at 163-175 Grafton Gate, close to Milton Keynes Central station and with easy access from both the A5 and M1. 🚆🚗

The hospital already provides a range of healthcare services under one roof, including GP appointments, urgent care, diagnostics, imaging, pathology and specialist services. 🏥

Adding occupational health means businesses can now access another important part of workforce support in the city. 👥

📉 Helping businesses reduce absence

Hessington Health says its own programmes have helped some organisations reduce average sickness absence from around eight days per employee to 1.8 days.
While every workplace is different, the company says the focus is on helping businesses spot problems earlier, support employees properly and reduce the disruption caused by long-term or repeated absence. 💡

The service is available to businesses of different sizes, from small independent companies to larger employers with more complex workforce needs. 🏢

🚀 A boost for Milton Keynes businesses

Milton Keynes has a broad business community, from logistics and engineering to technology, professional services, education and growing SMEs.

Having more occupational health support available locally could make it easier for employers to look after their teams and deal with workplace health issues before they become bigger problems. 🌱

The partnership between Hessington Health and Bloom Health is ultimately about helping Milton Keynes businesses build healthier, more resilient workforces. 💪

And for employers trying to retain staff, reduce absence and support people back into work, that could be a very useful addition to the city’s business landscape. 🧡

Bloom Health Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently took my mother to Bloom Health in Milton Keynes after she had been experiencing some discomfort for a couple of days, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm smile and genuine care. What really stood out was that the focus was clearly on my mother’s health and treatment, rather than simply taking payment for the service.

She was seen by a senior doctor within just five minutes, and a follow-up scan was arranged and completed within another 15 minutes. The whole process was incredibly efficient, professional and reassuring, especially when you’re taking a parent in with a health concern.

A huge thank you to the entire team at Bloom Health for the excellent care and for making what could have been a stressful experience so much easier.

Highly recommended!

There is truly no price you can put on peace of mind when it comes to your health.

We were so pleased to hear about this patient’s experience with our team. They arrived feeling understandably worried, and our staff were able to provide the kindness, understanding, and reassurance they needed.

Within just 3 hours, they had undergone their tests and CT scan and, most importantly, received the answers they were looking for.

This is exactly why we do what we do. Providing not only excellent care, but also compassion, reassurance, and peace of mind when our patients need it most.

Thank you for trusting us with your care.

Milton Keynes Hospital has shared this notice twice in the last week.

Bloom Health is a private service offering appointments for urgent, non-life-threatening health concerns that need attention today.

From £95 per visit
Tests billed separately
Open daily, 8am–10pm

Having a service like this available in Milton Keynes can be a real asset to the local community. It provides another option for people who need urgent medical attention but may not require A&E, particularly when NHS services are under pressure.

It can also help ease pressure on the hospital by giving people another place to seek timely care for non-life-threatening conditions.

It’s good to provide more healthcare options available locally.
