SATURDAY ❤️ 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏽

Good luck to Keely in the Diamond League
Today!

Also this is occurring….

PROJECT 222

British runner Josh Kerr is attempting to break the men’s one-mile world record of 3:43.13 (set in 1999). His target time is 3:42.00 - exactly 222 seconds - hence the name "Project 222."

This Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the London Diamond League.

Why it’s a big deal!

This is considered one of the hardest and oldest standing records in track and field. Kerr has been very public about his intent, aiming to leave a legacy and inspire the next generation of runners.

He’s using a custom-built "Hyperion 222" spike (3D-printed to his specific foot strike) and an aerodynamic, temperature-regulating speed suit developed by Brooks specifically for this race.

How to watch: The race is scheduled for 10:36 AM ET (3:36 PM local time in London)

🔥🇬🇧 Training Partners Today, Rivals Against the Clock Tomorrow! 🇬🇧🔥

Two of Britain's biggest middle-distance stars are heading to the spotlight at the Rome Diamond League on Thursday, June 4 — but they won't be racing each other.

🏅 Keely Hodgkinson is taking a bold step into unfamiliar territory as she makes her Diamond League 400m debut. The Olympic 800m queen is dropping down in distance to test her raw speed after an eye-catching 50.10-second relay split at the World Indoors. Standing in her way are established one-lap specialists including Amber Anning🇬🇧 and Lieke Klaver 🇳🇱.

⚡ Meanwhile, Georgia Hunter Bell returns to her trademark event, leading a stacked women's 1500m field. Awaiting her are the in-form Birke Haylom🇪🇹, fresh off a Diamond League victory in Shanghai, and American star Nikki Hiltz🇺🇲.

🏃‍♀️ One is chasing speed. 🏃‍♀️ One is chasing victory. 🤝 Both train together. 🔥 Both will be carrying British hopes in Rome.

Will Hodgkinson's speed experiment pay off? Can Hunter Bell conquer a world-class 1500m field?

Thursday night in Rome promises plenty of answers — and plenty of fireworks. 💥⏱️

Did you know? In 1971, Carolyn Davidson, a graphic design student, created what would go on to be one of the most famous logos in the world the Nike "Swoosh." She developed the design during a freelance project and was paid just $35 at the time, equal to roughly $250 today. The simple yet dynamic mark was inspired by the wings of the Greek goddess of victory, symbolizing speed and movement. Over the years, it became inseparable from Nike’s identity and its rise to global prominence.

Although her initial compensation was small, Nike later recognized her contribution. In 1983, the company gifted Davidson 500 shares of stock as a token of gratitude. Those shares appreciated enormously, and reports suggest they are now worth around $3 million.

Davidson’s story shows how one creative spark can have a massive impact. Her design not only helped shape Nike’s brand but also earned her lasting recognition and a significant financial reward.

Science is confirming what many of us have suspected, it’s never too late to lace up, and performance doesn’t have to fall off a cliff as we get older.

Runners can maintain strong race times well into their 70s and beyond. Whether you’re just starting out or have been running for decades, this is your sign to keep going.

Age is just a number on the start line💪

Recent studies show that for endurance athletes, especially long-distance runners, performance doesn’t fall off nearly as fast as we once believed. In fact, runners can maintain strong race times and training loads well into their 70s and in many cases, beyond.

Rachel Entrekin’s historic win at the Cocodona 250 was powered by a true love of running, positivity, and the reluctant addition of speedwork. Now she’s ready for more.
