A Little Gym Story... 😊
The other day at the gym, a fellow gym-goer was telling me how much discomfort she was having with her knees while using the exercise bike.
After our workout, I offered to spend just 5 minutes giving her a quick Emmett treatment.
Two days later, I walked back into the gym and was greeted with a huge smile. Before I could even say hello, she called me a "miracle worker!"
Of course, I'll leave the miracle-working to someone else, but it's always lovely to hear when someone is feeling the benefit of treatment so quickly.
It's a great reminder that sometimes a few gentle Emmett moves can make a real difference to comfort, movement and confidence.

🔨 Renovation Update 🔨

We're pleased to say that everything is going well with our renovation project and, most importantly, everything is currently on track! 🎉

A few people have asked to see photos of the work in progress, but we've made the decision not to share any pictures just yet. We want to keep the finished result as a surprise for everyone and can't wait to reveal it when the work is complete! 👀

Whilst the centre is being transformed, we've been keeping busy with a range of activities throughout the week. Our members have been enjoying our Keep Active Walks, getting out in the fresh air, staying active, and enjoying great company along the way. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

We've also continued with our Flex & Stretch and Breathe & Move classes, helping everyone stay moving, maintain mobility, and support their wellbeing during the renovation period. 🧘‍♀️💪

A huge thank you to everyone for your patience, support, and enthusiasm. We can't wait to welcome you back and show you the finished transformation very soon!

🚧✨ ONE WEEK TO GO! ✨🚧

It’s hard to believe it… but we are now just ONE WEEK away from renovation works starting at Active Gold CIC!

After months of planning, fundraising, and an incredible amount of support from our community, we’re finally about to see things start to take shape.

This is such a big milestone for us. What started as an idea to help more people stay active, independent, and connected is now becoming reality. 💛

These improvements will help us support even more people aged 50+ through accessible, power-assisted exercise and a welcoming space that helps tackle inactivity and loneliness in our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared posts, encouraged us, or believed in what we’re trying to build — we genuinely couldn’t have done this without you.

We’ll be sharing updates as the work gets underway next week, so keep an eye out for progress!

Here’s to the next chapter beginning 🚀

WE DID IT 🎉

Our Crowdfunder closes today, and we’re so proud to say that we have officially hit our target — all thanks to YOU.

The support over the past few weeks has been incredible. Every donation, share, and kind word has helped us get here, and we’re genuinely so grateful for each and every one of you 💛

Although we’ve reached our target, donations can still be made today if anyone does wish to contribute. Every extra bit will go directly towards making an even bigger impact at Active Gold and improving what we can offer our community.

We’re going to be very busy over the next few weeks planning everything, but please know that formal thank yous will be going out soon.

We’ll also be sharing some exciting updates about what’s coming next 👀
