Important Update: Online Triage from 1st July
We’d like to take a moment to update all our patients about an important change to how you access our services.
From 1st July, we will be moving to a total online triage system.
We understand this change has caused concern for some patients, and we have been listening carefully to your feedback. Please know that this decision has not been taken lightly. In fact, we are the last surgery in the area to make this move, and we have worked hard to maintain a more traditional system for as long as it was safe and possible to do so.
However, due to national contractual requirements and the need to ensure we provide a clinically safe and sustainable service, we can no longer continue with the current system.
What this means for you:
All requests will come through an online triage form
Every form is reviewed by a GP on the same day – not by administrative staff
Patients with urgent or acute needs will be prioritised appropriately
If you need to be seen, you will be seen
In some cases, alternative options (such as telephone advice, pharmacy support, or self-care guidance) may be more suitable and quicker
We appreciate that this may feel like an unwelcome change for some, and we understand it may take time to adjust. Our aim is to work with you to provide the right care, at the right time, and to improve how we manage demand safely.
Accessibility remains a priority:
If you do not have internet access or are unsure how to use the online system, our reception team will continue to help you complete the triage form.
➡️ No patient will be left without access to GP care if they need it.
We kindly ask for patience and understanding during this transition period. We would also encourage constructive feedback so we can continue to improve, rather than negative comments which do not help us support you effectively.
We will keep you updated as the new system is introduced.
Thank you for your continued support
