My weekend is just being and I will be back Tuesday 8th . My wrist and thumb πŸ‘ survived 10 reflexology treatments 😊 but it’s too early to say how it will fair over the next few weeks , doing my physio exercises though . Mostly going ok with the new booking system although I am still learning how it’s different to Amelia. I feel a slight autumnal shift πŸ‚ and like many of you are glad to see the pleasant drop in temperature. Wishing you all a lovely πŸ₯° weekend.

Lilac Room is reopening this coming Tuesday the 1st September. August bought some holiday time πŸ•°οΈ but also a lot of behind the scenes work and some treatment for my wrist issue. I am moving away of my current booking system and have now set up πŸ†™ the new one. You can still cancel and reschedule via your booking confirmation emails and the system will send you a reminder 48 hours before. I currently have a waiting list for clients wanting to book so please do cancel asap if you no longer want your September appointment πŸ™. I am no longer able to see new clients but can recommend other reflexologists if you have a friend or relative looking to try some reflexology etc. The treatment space has had a spring clean and I have tidied and sorted the many notes I have , along with the cupboards and started my tax return for 2025/26 . My wrist issue is not fully healed and probably won’t be as it’s due to arthritis but I hope to manage the condition and carry on with my therapy business for longer if possible. Unfortunately the house 🏠 is experiencing some subsidence issues we are exploring with our insurers , this may affect opening and appointments in the coming months - more when I know more .

Got your results? Now get your MenB jabs πŸ’‰

You might have got your A-Level results today. If so, congratulations! Regardless of numbers on a page, you should be proud of yourself for being where you are today.

Now, as you look towards the future, we urge you to get your free MenB jabs.

Whether you are starting university in September, going to college, moving into shared accommodation or getting a job, if you are 17 or 18, you should get your two free MenB jabs.

The MenB vaccine protects against meningococcal B bacteria, which can cause meningitis and sepsis. Meningococcal B bacteria spreads through close contact, including living in the same household, kissing, or sharing items such as drinks or vapes.

Meningitis can kill within hours or leave survivors with life-changing after-effects – including limb loss, hearing loss and acquired brain injury.

The NHS’s one-off MenB vaccination programme is being offered to everyone in England and Wales born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008, equivalent final-year school students in Scotland and Northern Ireland and those under 25 who will be attending university, or living in further education accommodation or halls of residence, for the first time in autumn 2026.

Two doses of the MenB vaccine are required for maximum protection. The second dose must be given at least four weeks after the first. The vaccine is fully effective two weeks after the second dose. The whole process takes six weeks from start to finish.

This is why it’s important to get a first dose as early as possible, ideally well before the autumn term begins if you are starting further education.
