Hairstyling expert Scott Michaels had been working as a professional hairdresser and running his own salon for fifteen years before becoming dissatisfied by the range of poor quality, lacklustre and substandard brands he was working with every day. Scott set out to create Hairbond as a response to this and believed in creating the finest quality products with a fashionable, professional and stylish brand image. Since its creation in Scott’s Lancaster based salon, Hairbond has grown into a global brand with award winning and innovative products. There has been a cult following from the very beginning with celebrities and sports stars alike quick to give their stamp of approval to their new favourite haircare brand. Soon to follow would be Hairbond’s Ambassadors who helped to grow the brand’s stylish, fashionable and professional image. Cricketer James Andersen and Footballer Simon Mignolet were carefully selected as professionals who were considered the perfect fit for the Hairbond brand as they parallel our attitude and beliefs in working towards greatness, being the best and pushing boundaries to keep on progressing. The Hairbond brand was brought into existence by Scott Michaels, a hairdressing entrepreneur from the historic city of Lancaster in the North West of England. After fifteen years of working with and retailing substandard, imported products in his distinguished salon, Scott believed there was an opportunity to produce a high quality British alternative to give his customers maximum satisfaction.

In 2008 he set out to achieve this goal by creating Hairbond. Scott’s aim was to produce the very best haircare products to put Britain on the map in the haircare industry. It has been important to Scott that all of Hairbond’s products are designed, developed and distributed from within the United Kingdom. He said: “Britain is the home of style and creativity. I want people to be proud in the knowledge that their haircare products have been conceived and actualised in Britain and know for that reason it is the very best. We truly believe in being a brand for the people and our Hairbond’s Next Top Model competition is a testament to that belief. We love seeing how everyone embraces the product with their own unique styles, it’s fantastic!”
