Today we celebrated the 60s with a fantastic sing-along! 🎶 We all got together and enjoyed watching music videos from the 1960s, singing along to some of the decade's greatest hits. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with music, memories, and lots of smiles. Everyone had a great time reminiscing and enjoying the classics together! 🎤🎵

🎤✨ Care Home Open Week – Friday ✨🎤

We're ending our Music Through the Decades week with a fantastic trip back to the 1980s for an afternoon of '80s Karaoke! 🎶

Our residents will be taking to the microphone to sing along to some of the decade's biggest hits, from power ballads to pop classics. Whether it's a solo performance or a group sing-along, we're sure there will be plenty of smiles, laughter, and memorable moments.

Who would be your go-to '80s karaoke artist? 🎵🎙️

We can't wait to celebrate the end of a wonderful week filled with music, memories, and fun!

🕺✨ Care Home Open Week – Thursday ✨🕺

Get ready to boogie! 🎶

As part of our Music Through the Decades theme, our residents will be stepping back into the 1970s by dressing up in their best '70s gear and enjoying a fabulous disco party! 🌈🪩

There'll be plenty of classic disco hits, dancing, laughter, and maybe even a few questionable fashion choices! From flares to flower power, we're looking forward to celebrating one of the most iconic decades in music.

Stayin' Alive, Dancing Queen, or YMCA – which disco classic would get you on the dance floor? 🎤💃

🎶 Care Home Open Week – Tuesday 🎶

After our fantastic trip back to the 1960s on Monday, we're keeping the music theme going with one of our residents' favourite activities – a Music Quiz! 🎤🎵

From classic tunes to famous artists, we'll be putting our musical knowledge to the test while enjoying plenty of laughs along the way. Music quizzes are always a big hit here and bring out everyone's competitive spirit! 🎼🏆

Residents at Orchard Mews enjoyed a lovely afternoon with Gary James, singing along to their favourite songs and having a good old dance. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, and happy memories being made. Thank you, Gary, for a fantastic afternoon of entertainment!

🎶 Open Week is here, and we're turning up the music! 🎶

Our residents have chosen a fantastic Music Through the Decades theme for this year's Open Week, and we're starting with a groovy trip back to the 1960s! ✌️🌼

On Monday, we'll be enjoying an online '60s concert, complete with a good old-fashioned sing-along to some of the decade's most loved hits. 🎤🎵

We can't wait to see our residents singing, smiling, and sharing memories as we celebrate the power of music together.

🎉 Father's Day Celebration 🎉

To celebrate Father's Day, we will be getting together for a special afternoon of party snacks and drinks, as requested by our residents.

We would love to invite family members to come along and join in the celebrations. It's a wonderful opportunity to spend time together, make memories, and celebrate all the amazing fathers and father figures in our lives.

Everyone is welcome, and we look forward to seeing you there! 💙

A huge thank you to Kevin and Kerry for giving up their time to collect donations at Tesco for our Summer Fair. Your hard work, enthusiasm, and support are greatly appreciated and will help make the event a fantastic success.

Orchard Mews Care Home are holding a Summer Fair in July.
Kerry and Kevin are collecting our donation of items they can raffle or use on a tombola stand. Raising funds to help make memories for their residents.
