Not only was our open day a great success, but yesterday's entertainment was absolutely superb. 😁
Residents enjoyed 3 back to back sessions of activities.
Dave Plummer began our day with some smooth saxophone music.
Yes Creative Beats really got us moving and drumming.
Then finally Jess took us through to lunch with her beautiful vocals.
It was nice to see so many residents enjoying themselves ❤️

We were delighted to welcome Nigel Hartley MBE, High Sheriff of the Isle of Wight, to Solent Grange care home as we celebrated an exciting new chapter following our transition to . Nigel kindly joined us to officially cut the ribbon, marking this significant milestone for residents, relatives and colleagues alike. Nigel has a long history of supporting health, care and community services across the Island and currently serves as the High Sheriff of the Isle of Wight.

The event was a wonderful opportunity to bring everyone together to celebrate our future as part of the Care UK family. Residents enjoyed meeting Nigel, sharing stories and chatting about life on the Island, while staff reflected on the dedication and teamwork that made the day so special.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony symbolised not only a new beginning for our home but also our continued commitment to providing outstanding care, meaningful experiences and a warm, welcoming environment for all who live with us.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Nigel for taking the time to visit, speak with our residents and officially open this exciting new chapter. His support and interest in our community made the occasion one to remember.

Lovely visit from Tinker, our therapy dog, this afternoon ❤️

A lovely and most relaxed start to our weekend.
We began by watching the trooping the colour in our lounges and rooms. Many residents commented how wonderfully British it was.
We also had some 1 to 1 time.
Some had video calls with family, others went on outings with relatives.
The majority of the day was spent outdoors.
Jeremy and Elizabeth found a nice spot to sit outside and read.
Annette helped water the plants, and Valerie enjoyed a tour of our garden.
Others simply just relaxed and enjoyed each other's company.
