What actually happens when you come for Reiki
Most people are a little unsure the first time, and that is completely normal. So here is what it is really like, with none of the mystery.
You lie down on the couch with your clothes on, and I rest my hands on you or just above you. Mostly you just rest. Around forty five minutes with nobody wanting anything from you.
It is a deeply restful sort of hour. Some people notice a bit of warmth, some go a little floaty, and a fair few drift off to sleep right there on the couch. It is one of the few places in the week where nothing is being asked of you.
What people tend to come for is simple enough. Deep rest, the kind that is hard to find in an ordinary week. A pause from stress, with nothing to do and nowhere to be. Feeling calmer and a bit lighter afterwards. A quiet hour that lets you properly slow down. Gentle energy balancing.
Reiki is a gentle thing, and it sits alongside the rest of your life rather than in place of anything. I am not putting anything into you. I am just helping you find your own quiet again.
