FUN FRIDAY
We decided to do our miles at Burr point this morning. When we set this challenge we hadn't taken into consideration that we are off next week so we might have to adjust it a little but we will try to do as many as we can. After break Ryan did some mindful colouring in and Callum and Sam sorted buttons for our Christmas craft project. An early lunch was requested so everyone joined forces to make scrambled eggs and toast, set the table, clear up and do the dishes - team work is dream work!! Sam is really loving using Llewellyns stool for reaching the to cupboards - tell me you are short llewellyn without telling me you are short??
We headed to the gym in the afternoon to get even more miles in πŸ‘£πŸ‘ŸπŸƒ.
We then decided to be nosey and go to see them setting up for tomorrow's tide and turf festival. Looks like it will be a good day with plenty to do.
Back to the HUB for a bit of a chill out before home. We hope all our participants enjoy being off next week. I know llewellyn and Janine are looking forward to it because we didn't take much time off over summer.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!πŸ₯Š
We started the day strong and hit the walking track to keep our mile count going, the weather was a bit grim but we had a laugh on the way round.
Back at the hub it was a buffet break which everyone enjoyed. We played some board games before getting the chores done. Lunch was again a bit of a spread which the boys loved. After lunch we had a guided mindfulness
session before the fighting started. What a laugh we all had as the boys recreated some scenes from Rocky!!! πŸ₯ŠπŸ€Όβ€β™‚️πŸ’ͺπŸ₯Š

LADS DAY
Today we only had Sam and Callum but that didn't hamper our fun. We started by taking donations to the Warehouse Re-Loved Newtownards but it was closed so we will try again another day. After we had break we decided to get our miles in and had a nice 2 mile walk. We then visited Bangor museum and enjoyed seeing all the displays and watching the film. After a picnic lunch we headed to Bloomfield's to do some shopping for essentials - wine gums and coke zero!!! 🀦🀣
We had a look at all the Halloween decorations and also the Christmas stuff.
The plan was to have a chilled day at the HUB but sure plans are there to be changed lol tomorrow will be a bit more of a chill day as the boys have requested a movie day with popcorn 🍿 and who are we to argue. πŸ’–

OUR DAY AS TOLD BY ERIN

VOLUNTEERING
Today we were volunteering in the garden at The Warehouse Newtownards. We brushed, pruned, raked, weeded & tidied. Everyone really did get stuck in and the place was looking so much better. We had a pizza lunch there after all the hard work. Gary Legge was our supervisor today and he made sure we had everything we needed so thanks Gary.
We are off next week so we need to work hard at our mile challenge so today we walked nearly 3 miles along the Greenway. It was so relaxing walking with such a great view. After our walk CJ & Llewellyn headed home and the rest had a trip to the shops to get break food for the HUB.
Contrary to what Erin said in the video we all do love helping others and giving back to the community 🀣

MASSIVE SHOUT OUT
On Friday we had the pleasure of having Johnny Whataboutye Pankhurst joining us for a positive exercise workshop. EVERYONE really enjoyed the session and are looking forward to our next one - which is a massive compliment to Johnny because our young people aren't always keen on exercise. The session was pitched at the right level for each of our young people and delivered in such a fun, encouraging and respectful way which catered for each person's ability and fears.
If anyone works in a school or is involved in any children's groups please consider having Johnny come along for a session, you won't regret it. Also any adult wanting to get fit and active please reach out to Johnny. His enthusiasm and energy is contagious. Details are in the poster at the start of this reel.

FITNESS FRIDAY
After break Connie called a planning meeting to get organised for next week. We then started to make our 'tree of positivity' and discussed what positive things we do and how it makes us feel.
We then had the best session with Jonny and Sara. We all had such a great time exercising with Johnny Whataboutye Pankhurst. I couldn't believe that everyone actually enjoyed it and wants another session soon. Janine wants a little bit of whatever Johnny puts on his cornflakes to give him so much positive energy 🀣
We all made our own toasties for lunch and cleaned up all the dishes. Our mile chart was looking a bit empty so we headed to the gym and everyone did a mile on the treadmill. We finally sat down for the last half hour and watched Mr Bean.
What a day!!!!! What a team.
Birthday wishes to our friends at Four G Day Opportunities Service who are celebrating their 4th birthday today. πŸŽ‰

THIS & THAT THURSDAY
We hit the ground running first thing, well actually it was walking lol we are working towards our 30 miles in September challenge and we ticked another mile off this morning. After a quick break we headed to Mount Stewart. Today we had to pick up the litter in the car park and entrance area. Everyone worked hard and the place looked great. Back at the HUB the boys got the weekly chores done and Connie worked on some laminating. We all made our own lunch, we are really focusing on our independence skills and we are learning new skills constantly. We had a visit from Jonny to plan tomorrow's PT session. The boys wanted to chill and watch a movie before home so that's what we did.

CHILL DAY TODAY
We started our morning with a bit of break and a chill time watching TV. We all thought we needed a challenge so we had a discussion and decided that we would try to walk 30 miles in the month of September. We talked about why we would want to do this and came up with some ideas. We made a chart so that we could track our miles easily. We had lots of fruit to use up so we made fruit smoothies which looked fab but apart from Callum noone else liked them 🀣πŸ₯€ Connie decided to make herself hot chocolate instead and Sam decided to stick with his water.
After lunch Connie sorted some stuff out for our card making session on Friday while the boys got the dishes done. Everyone was keen to do a mindfulness session today and we were all very chilled out after it finished. We had a quick run into the shops for essentials before home.

ROAD TRIP.
Well we didn't ferry across the Mersey but we did go across the Lough and on to Tollymore. We had a lovely walk around the forest before we headed into Newcastle. The amusements were the first stop and the biggest hit was the 2p machines. We were pretty amazing (rubbish) at getting tickets and ended up with a box of pringles to share 🀣🀦
Everyone wanted to go on the big wheel so we headed there next. Margaret & Llewellyn watched from the ground while the rest of us enjoyed seeing Newcastle from a great height - Janine wasn't so keenπŸ’©
After a walk around the shops we headed for a picnic lunch and a bit of a chill out.
More fun and laughter and more memories made for team East Coast
