I’m currently making up boxes to go to greenlane hospital psychiatric ward and fountain way psychiatric unit and was wondering if anyone would like to donate. From experience I can say that often patients who are put in wards come with nothing and if they have no family then can be left with nothing during there stay unless lost property has something!
Stays are often very boring! With little to do to entertain except a communal tv
I’m thinking
Essential wash products ( deodorant, shampoo, conditioner , body wash, shaving foam etc )
sweet treats
colouring books
Fidget toys
Pamper bits
Books
Clothes ( please nothing with strings in or if have strings take these out)
Anything else that could help someone’s stay!
Please note anything that could cause harm to someone isn’t allowed on wards such as blades, drawstrings etc
