Landwork at Beech Hill:
It's such a beautiful way to connect with the abundance of the season, whilst being with other like minded people and out in nature.
Join us for the Wednesday evening volunteer sessions 4pm-6pm, and get your hands in the soil, seeding, weeding, woodland work, with the occasional food processing , such as making Sauerkraut and Kimchi.
In August we are only running sessions today (12th) and on the 26th.

August is here. And whilst we are taking some holidays (see reduced dates for landwork sessions), we are also offering a few more chances to gather on the beautiful lands at Beech Hill.

Lammas blessing to all of you. Giving thanks for the abundance in the garden, and in our lives. Deepest gratitude to be alive on this amazing planet earth and to be living in connection with the land. May the abundance spread out into the world.

A few days ago, I went out to beautiful Thorn Woods, which is abundant with Meadowsweet and St Johns Wort at this time of year. Responsibly harvested, I am making the St Johns Wort into an olive oil ointment to nourish my skin throughout the winter months and remember the peak of sunshine of this time of year. Folk Medicine Apothecary- Season by Season we are expanding our home grown dried herb selection to make our own herbal medicine. It is such a pleasure, blessing and delight to harvest the fresh herbs from the land, dry them, and then mix them into different delicious and healing teas to support our natural health.
This time of year we are harvesting mugwort, motherwort, holy basil, linden flower, wood betony, meadowsweet, st johns wort, calendula, yarrow, roses, lemon balm and
many more.

Do you want to learn about biodynamic food growing? Amongst welcoming, like minded, nature and food loving people? Whilst tending to your mental health and wellbeing? Come and join us for our uplifting and fruitful (!) evening volunteer sessions every Wednesday 4pm-6pm. Come for all of it or some of it and join in with the members of our community as we tend to the land here at Beech Hill.🌞 Things we are doing at the moment: fruit picking, weeding, making comfrey fertiliser and applying it, transplanting and harvesting, eating biscuits and enjoying a cuppa, taking kale home :)
