Let me be clear - STATE can be any state. You could be standing cooking or you could be lying down - but change the state that you’re in when you have that intrusive thought and you instantly interrupt the “learning” stage of the brain.

Thoughts are powerful. And you often have the same ones because if a particular environment or state you’re in! So by interrupting the state, you can start to change the narrative and begin creating more positive and supportive thoughts and beliefs 🩷

So simply:

1. Change the STATE
2. Change the STORY

Use a simple statement to reinforce a new thought and one that’s more supportive. “I’m exactly where I need to be. I’m doing brilliantly”

Give it a go. And if your intrusive thoughts are spiralling or you’re suffering with anxiety or severe stress - you don’t need to battle it all by yourself.

Drop me a DM about the issues you’re having and we can chat!

Lots of love,
Jess

There are a lot of wellbeing apps out there and I am SO aware of that.

But when I first created The Happy Healthy Club, I wanted it to feel a bit different to the bigger, faceless apps.

I just knew wanted it to feel like *support*.

A little place to go to when you’re overwhelmed or a welcoming space
for when you need reminding that your wellbeing matters too.

The majority of people I work with and see in classes aren’t actually lacking info - they already know they should slow down! 😅

I bet most of you reading this know you should take some time to breathe and to prioritise yourself a bit more!

The challenge is actually doing it & doing it CONSISTENTLY.

And hey! I wanna tell you right now that I’m the same! I quite often have to have a word with myself and go “Jess, it’s time to take a second and slow the heck down” - & I have my go-to practices and hobbies that I know do the trick for me.

That’s why inside my app you’ll find yoga, breathwork, meditation, journaling, relaxation practices and live classes designed by ME! Led by me! Created and delivered by me!

(So if you don’t like me then this isn’t for you 🤣)

But this app is for people who feel lots of emotions, carry a lot of mental and physical load, struggle to slow down in such a busy “achievement driven” world and who are more used to looking out for others than themselves.

My goal has never been to create another thing for you to achieve or tick off a list - it’s to create a space that helps you feel calmer, more resilient and more connected to yourself.

Some days that might be a 5min breathing practice. Some days it might be a full, restorative & soothing yin class (always sorts me right out 🥹)

Other days it might simply be knowing there’s a supportive community & coach who just wants the best for you and to give you some moments of peace.

If you’ve been craving a little more calm, balance or a bit of space to breathe, I’d love to welcome you inside ❤️

I’m proud to say that once people are in - they usually stay. So I hope you’ll do the same.

Love,

Jess ###

A big part of my work is helping very busy, high-performing people build resilience and feel awesome *without* just overloading themselves more…

Over the last few years, my personal training (which I don’t do that much of anymore anyway!) has shifted massively from traditional PT into a much more integrative approach - for those that come to me for PT it’s more about combining movement, breathwork, nervous system support, recovery and sustainable habit change than it is just pushing the body to it’s limits every session…

In this reel I talk about:
✨ why I’ve changed the way I coach
✨ why “just push through” isn’t how I roll
✨ the importance of nervous system support alongside fitness
✨ and why sustainable progress has to work WITH your body, not against it

Movement and strength are incredibly important - anyone who knows me knows I’ll rave about it til’ the cows come home 🐄

But I’m also raving about SLEEP! RECOVERY! The body being in a state that feels safe enough to slow the heck down…. ❤️

Some of the most important coaching conversations I’ve had with clients have started with:
“This isn’t actually supporting you right now, is it?”

If this resonates and you’re looking for a more supportive, realistic and integrated way to approach your wellbeing, fitness or recovery - my coaching spaces are open from the middle of June 🤍

Pop a comment below or DM me and we can have a good chat.

Always here to support you in the best way I can ☀️😌🥰

The fact about triggers (you gotta watch the video for longer than 5 seconds to get to that bit 😆) is one that always gets a shocked face in my coaching calls… 😮

In a good way! 🙌🏻 Because it suddenly makes people who suffer with trauma, ED’s, PTSD etc… feel like there’s some hope alongside other interventions they’re having.

This work truly astounds me every day and I’m so privileged to get to work with very complex conditions, as well as simply bringing some relief to those feeling stuck in a stress state or who are heading for burnout.

Our breathing always tells a story. And it adapts to whatever is going on in our lives at the moment and to past experiences.

I once saw a friend with asthma see huge differences in their heavy, laboured breathing once they sold their house! The stress and long-term challenges they’d been facing had added so much extra strain to their whole system…

Anyway. You get what I’m saying? Breathing is sweet. And it has the incredible ability for us to change our state, reinforce and alter old patterns and help us heal and become the version of ourselves we’re proud to be.

Drop me a comment or DM with questions or to tell me your story! I’d love to hear.

Overwhelm doesn’t always make us stop, it sometimes actually makes us speed up…

When the nervous system is under stress, the body shifts into a heightened state of alertness, which often shows up as urgency, overthinking, difficulty switching off and constantly feeling like there’s something else you should be doing 😵‍💫

And because our culture tends to reward “being busy”, it can be hard to recognise when we’re actually dysregulated rather than productive. (Read that again cos’ I know I need to haha)

For me, this is usually the point where I need less stimulation and more regulation:– slower mornings– breathwork– nature– yin (before bed for me is the dream)– actual rest

Not because I’m lazy or unmotivated… but because my nervous system needs support ❤️

And the “being lazy” thing is something I hear a lot from clients. There’s a lot of shame around resting sometimes and we need to shift the messaging there.

This is a huge part of what I teach inside my app and in my 1-1 breathwork coaching 🤍

Drop a Q below or check out my profile and links to get started. My app has a 7 day free trial so you can have a good nosey around first if you like 🥰

My legs are exhausted but my mind is refreshed! Can’t beat a nature and walking trip. I’ve always wanted to go and see Seven Sisters Cliffs and man, they didn’t disappoint. Absolutely unreal ✨

You can’t beat a crazy old village, pubs from the 1300’s, nature and wildlife all around (we saw a BADGER irl!!! 🥹), loud dawn choruses and being make-up free the whole time 😅🙌🏻😆

Where shall we go next time?! 😍

When I saw this collection was the next one to drop I knew it was going to be an absolute winner for me. The tops you can see are all their new FeatherForm fabric which is like a second skin, it’s sooooo soft and stretchy.

It’s perfect for layering and I’m wearing the v neck bralette underneath the short sleeve tee (soft white colour) and then the tank under the long sleeve tee (chilled blue, iron blue and pebble grey colours) 💙

The wide leg pants are crazy comfy and they even come in short, regular and long lengths - I’m wearing regular length.

I’m going to be putting up a full review on my YT so keep your eyes peeled in my stories for that later 👀

Let me know in the comments which is your fave combo and any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
