π₯ A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER π¬π
Hi, Iβm Emma! π Join me as I take you through a typical day working as a Mental Health Practitioner.
As a Mental Health Practitioner, my role is to support patients with their emotional and psychological wellbeing. I work closely with GPs, nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team to make sure people get the right care at the right time. Although we do not provide a counselling service, our day to day work includes:
βοΈ Supporting patients experiencing anxiety, depression, and stress
βοΈ Providing early intervention to prevent issues from escalating
βοΈ Offering followβup care and wellbeing reviews
βοΈ Linking people with appropriate services and community support
βοΈ Helping to reduce GP workloads by managing mental health needs directly
βοΈ Supporting patients to build skills to manage their mental health through the use of therapeutic interventions
