Meet the Consultant: Dawn 🌟

I’ve been doing Slimming World on and off for years — life, holidays, and everything in between kept pulling me away. But one moment changed everything.

On a girls’ holiday, we took a photo… and all I could see was my head peeking out from behind everyone else because I was hiding. That picture hit me hard. I realised I wasn’t living confidently — I was shrinking myself, even in photos.

So I made a brave decision. I rejoined Slimming World, wiped my history clean, and gave myself a completely fresh start. No comparisons, no pressure — just me, choosing myself again.

Since then, I’ve lost 5½ stone. But more than that, I’ve gained confidence, energy, and a life I’m proud of. Slimming World didn’t just change my weight; it changed my mindset.

And that’s why I became a Consultant.

Now I run my own warm, friendly Slimming World group at Nunthorpe Secondary Academy every Saturday at 8:00am and 9:30am.
If I can help even one person feel the way I do now — proud, empowered, and no longer hiding — then every step of my journey has been worth it

🌞 Summer’s calling — and so is your Slimming World journey!
If you’ve been thinking, “I’ll come back when my head’s in it,” remember this:
Sometimes your head gets back in it because you came back, not the other way around 💪💖

You’re always welcome — no judgment, just support, laughter, and a fresh start.
Come join us this week and rediscover how good it feels to be part of the group again 🌻
