I thought this bedraggled look would be a good pic (attempted the curly girl method) to introduce myself to all my new followers!
I’m Janine, I’m a 44 year old Mummy (always first) and Nurse.
I started my Nursing career aged 16 (1996) in a nursing home which I loved and led me to train at Uni. Then straight onto a medical ward quickly followed by gynae ward. Here I stayed for 7 years! Then working in TOP clinics led me to Sexual Health in Liverpool in 2009. Whilst I have stayed in this speciality I’ve moved around a bit and have now been at GUM Preston for 5 years. I love it and the people I work with. My Dad once said to me make sure you have a job you want to get out of bed for and I definitely do..although it’s amusing that the role cares for people who are unwell as a result of being in bed 😂😂
In 2013 I did my Prescribing qualification and met a Nurse who did aesthetics, she encouraged me to do the same and our business Total Aesthetics Blackpool was born. Then in 2016 my eldest daughter was born, I’d just finished my Masters degree and my Band 7 role in Sexual health was made redundant all in 4 weeks!
Everything happens for a reason and after going part time NHS, having my littlest babe and going back to work I started in GUM and now work one day a week. Alongside this my Aesthetics business has gone from strength to strength, now 11 years in business, with clinics in Aughton, Durham and Lytham. I’ve also taught toxin, fillers (many years ago) and PRP (hair/face/genitals).
I’m so thankful to each of you who have made my business grow, the clinics I’ve worked in and the incredible patients I have. This job has allowed me to spend more time with my children as babies, my family including my little Nana who’s nearly 92! This is what’s important.
