AGM 2026 ✅ Thanks to all the new members, and to our directors, for your hard work throughout the year and for supporting at our AGM! It was an amazing opportunity to look back and reflect on all we’ve achieved this year.

In our impact report we shared participant reviews, stats and success stories.

We celebrated the great partnerships we’ve had Makespace Oxfordshire Oxford City Council Co-operative Futures to name a few.

We looked at finances, venue development and events. We also voted in directors and reviewed the minutes from last year’s AGM.

Finally we looked forward to our challenges and goals for the next year 🥂 💪 more exciting news to come!

Our 1st members social! With attendees from all over Oxfordshire and apologies from Scotland, Mexico and medicine festival! 🧺

We ate, drank, connected and shared what we’d like to do more of in the Coop, and what we’d like more support with in our own business/practice.

The AGM is coming up next week and another social in the Autumn!

Why join a Coop? One of the many benefits of joining OWC on the Core membership is access to quarterly social and networking events!

Being self-employed can be isolating, especially in a competitive and elitist market like wellness.

Meet other down-to-earth practitioners with similar values, share and reflect, and feel supported wherever you are in your business!

The Core plus Space membership includes access to the therapy room and or event space at our OX1 venue Makespace Oxfordshire

As the Coop develops, membership is intended to offer:

✅A supportive network of aligned practitioners
✅Opportunities to contribute to shared programmes and initiatives
✅Peer connection, learning, and reflection
✅Collective visibility through Coop communications and activities
✅Access to space, where relevant, through the appropriate pathway
✅Members contribute to, and benefit from, the shared resources and reputation of the Coop, with decisions shaped collectively rather than top-down.

Are you interested in joining the Coop? Check out the membership section of our website and Let us know your questions in the comments!

Meet our Coop member Barbara Sunchaser! A trauma-informed yoga teacher based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, offering yoga, mobility, and rest practices through the Oxford Wellbeing Coop.

Her work is rooted in accessibility, inclusion, and creating welcoming spaces for people who may have felt excluded from mainstream wellness environments.

Drawing on advanced yoga training and specialist trauma-sensitive approaches, Barbara supports people to connect with movement and rest in ways that feel safe, sustainable, and empowering. She is particularly passionate about challenging the performative and diet-culture narratives often associated with fitness and wellbeing, and instead centres care, choice, and individual experience in her teaching.

Barbara offers regular group classes in Banbury, including Yoga for Mobility, Yoga for Balance, Yoga for Stress Relief, and monthly Slow Down Sunday sessions, alongside one-to-one and small group yoga support.

We’re thrilled to have funding from to offer fully funded (free!) wellbeing support for residents of Central Oxford from May 2026 – March 2027.

This project has grown from a simple belief that everyone deserves access to gentle, welcoming spaces where they can feel supported, connected and healthy.

Over the coming year we’ll be offering:
🌿 Women’s Wellbeing Drop-in Group with
A warm, drop-in space to talk, connect, take part in creative activities and build confidence and community

🎵 Sing – Play – Learn (0–4 Years) with
A bilingual parent/carer and child group using songs, stories and play in English, Spanish and French with a QTS (Primary) teacher to support connection, communication and early learning.

🧘 Yoga & Wellbeing Support with
Gentle trauma-aware yoga and wellbeing sessions. Calm, accessible support for people experiencing stress, anxiety, or isolation.

All sessions are fully free to attend.

We especially welcome people who may not always feel comfortable in mainstream wellbeing spaces, as well as referrals from community organisations, social prescribers and local support services.

It means a lot to be able to offer this work within our local community, and we’re looking forward to welcoming people through the door over the coming months!
