Thank you Arthur's Place! For the support and all that you do for young adults with arthritis 💜

The MAMA Study is designed to find out whether it is better for women who have arthritis and are pregnant to stop or to continue taking biologic medications throughout pregnancy.

You may be able to take part if:

➡ You are pregnant at less than 28 weeks of gestation
➡ You have arthritis, which is being treated with a biologic

If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, and have arthritis which is being treated with a biologic we would love to tell you more about MAMA.

For more information, and to register your interest in taking part, visit https://www.npeu.ox.ac.uk/mama/participants ❤️

Research is crucial to making improvements in healthcare during and after a pregnancy. 🤰

It can help women make informed decisions about their pregnancy care.

The MAMA Study is designed to find out whether it is better for women who have inflammatory arthritis and are pregnant to temporarily stop or to continue taking biologic medications.

Both continuing and stopping using biologics beyond 28 weeks of pregnancy are routine practice in the UK; this varies between different hospitals around the UK. The MAMA Study is looking to provide an answer on which is the better approach.

Find out more about MAMA and how you can be involved www.npeu.ox.ac.uk/mama/participants and sign up to https://bepartofresearch.nihr.ac.uk/join to find out about other research opportunities!

Welcome to the MAMA Study!

We are inviting women to join our research to help us better understand whether women with arthritis should continue taking or temporarily stop their biologic medication during pregnancy.

On this page, we’ll be sharing updates about the study, insights from our work, and information for women who may be interested in taking part.

We’ll also be highlighting real experiences to help raise awareness and build a supportive community around this journey.

Thank you for being here ❤️
