There’s a reason I chose this particular place for our winter retreat.
I wanted somewhere that felt like a genuine step away from everyday life, but that wasn’t so far away that getting there became another source of stress.
Abergavenny sits at the edge of the Welsh mountains, with beautiful walks, woodland and wide open landscapes all around. It gives us the chance to spend time outside, breathe some different air and let the landscape become part of the retreat.
And then there’s the retreat space itself: cosy, welcoming and somewhere we can settle in together for a few days.
Getting there is relatively straightforward from Oxford, whether you’re driving or travelling by train. And if you're coming on your own, you definitely won't be the only one. I'll help people connect with others travelling from similar places where I can.
Because for me, the retreat starts before we arrive.
It's the moment you decide to step out of the usual rhythm for a few days.
To put the emails down.
To leave the to-do list behind.
To look up.
