A person's ability to move well is the sum of the quality of their entire day's movements, every day - not just in 'exercise' sessions. Natural movement helps you become aware of the quality of your movements all the time. Classes teach you good technique in everything from sitting on and getting up and down from the floor, stepping up and over, lifting correctly and other daily movements. They al

so introduce other skills you are less likely to practice during your normal day, that reinforce healthy movement patterns like squatting, crawling and balancing and up to jumping & hanging. The benefits are helping protect against injury, strengthening the body in good alignment and healthy movement patterns. It also increases and maintains good mobility which gives you the confidence to move more throughout your day, whatever your age and for the rest of your life - we all want that, don't we?!

A massive thank you to for featuring my message (& my book Move Well for Life) in this weekend’s iPaper.

To be included amongst her list of ‘5 life-changing lessons I learned from the experts’ is a real honour, especially with incredible experts like & the wonderful Sir Chris Ball who has also been on my podcast Make Movement Matter (episode 45), the amazing Professor John Todd and Professor Mark Kendall of

I was also hugely flattered when one of the organisers kindly shared a feedback form with me (see the last slide) - feedback like that makes all the nerves and preparation worthwhile!

Have a great ☀️ weekend,

On Saturday I had the absolute joy of getting a room full of people moving at the Smart Ageing Summit by the - and this was the moment it got out of hand in the best possible way!

We were doing a compass reach to get those arms overhead - simple enough.

Except it turns out everyone had a completely different compass in their head, and the moment that dawned on the room was one of the funniest moments.

That’s the thing about moving
together, the laughter is as much a part of it as the movement itself. A room full of strangers, connected through the shared chaos of not knowing where north is! 🤣

I always feel there’s something powerful about getting a room moving together - even briefly, especially wonderfully imperfectly.

It cuts through the sitting 🪑
It wakes up the brain 🧠
And people leave feeling like they were part of something, rather than just present for it.

Every conference needs movement breaks.

At the end your body thanks you and you leave more connected with those around you.
What’s not to love? 💜

Because some things are worth repeating.

Because I know I’ll feel better afterwards.
Because I can fit it in before breakfast.
Because it’s a path where I can move without thinking about where I’m going.

And every single time, there’s something I haven’t noticed before. The way the lights different, the bird song, the blossom, the water in the stream. Our thoughts that only come when my feet know the way.

We can be a contradiction when it brings us joy. Walking the same route isn’t autopilot – it’s the opposite. It’s where I’m most present.

“We are what we repeatedly do.”
Aristotle

And I’ll take that repeatedly, happily, every day.

Do you enjoy walking the same route regularly?
What do you notice?

🚶‍♀️‍➡️I love May in the UK; the heavy coats and gloves have gone, the boots aren’t as muddy, and the fresh zingy green of new leaves, the smell of the flowers, the sounds of new lambs, it’s a sensory explosion.

I’m inviting you to join me walking daily in May - just notice what you do, notice the ‘noise’ and make your own choices, so you always ensure ‘you do you’!

I’m not setting targets, there’s no pressure or judgement about how far you go. I’ll be here on my grid and my stories, helping give you a daily reminder that you’re already doing more than you think, and an invitation to enjoy it a little more.

Follow along. Come back tomorrow. And if you got out today, I’d love to know. 🌿

Are you with me?

If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

Most people I work with aren’t starting from scratch.

They’ve tried the routines. They know movement matters. And it’s never really about motivation.

What they haven’t had is a method that actually sticks, because it fits around the life they’re already living, not the one they think they should have.

That’s exactly what we work through together inside Reclaim Everyday Ease. 8 weeks. The movements, the tools, and the method - so that what changes, stays changed.

We start this Monday (27th April).
