Ready for varnishing
These rocks will be donated to Torquay Royal British Legion on behalf of Lionel Digby, to go in the wreaths that will be laid at the Dunkirk and Normandy Stones in Torre Abbey in Torquay on the 12th July

Mental Health Rocks will maintain them if they fade over time free of charge
Let's hope the rocks remain placed in their position for a long time to stop the wreaths from blowing away

Today I start 2 special Poppy Rock for Torquay Royal British Legion on behalf of Lionel Digby, when we spoke at the airshow.
These rocks will be placed inside 2 wreaths to stop them blowing away.
Lionel didn't want just any rocks, he wanted rocks that were special that means everything to all who served, to the families whose loved ones didn't make it home.
Lionel wanted Mental Health Rocks because we show care in every rock we touch
These rocks will have Dunkirk and Normandy on them
We will attend the ceremony on the 12th of July and present them at the end to be placed inside the wreaths
I told Lionel we will make regular checks and redecorate them if they fade or get damaged, that is MHR promise

This evening I attended Torbay Sea Cadets Headquarters as last week was postponed, a small selection of cadets had the privilege of painting Poppy Rocks for the 2026 Poppy Rocks Project and while paint dried they were given a quiz
Very productive evening with teamwork
Here are some of the rocks that were painted in November, they are now with us awaiting minimal maintenance as i just want to preserve the artwork the cadets created and then they will be varnished
Once dry I return them to Torbay Sea Cadets
Before Remembrance Day the cadets will place the Poppy Rocks in locations around Paignton and Brixham
Mental Health Rocks returns to Sea Cadets HQ next Thursday for more painting

It doesn't cost anything only time
Rocks are painted ready by us, we attend the art session, we collect the creations and varnish them
We place them around Torbay or return them and the organisation will place the Poppy Rocks
It's about community involvement for our heroes to show them we are proud of their service

Another Rock placed, another walk accomplished by Veterans
We support Veteran Walks with our hand painted Logo Rocks, every walk completed is a rock of achievement laid
Seeing veterans smile when a rock is placed is everything to us
If you want to join one of their walks you need to join their group page Veteran Walks on Facebook or follow them on Tiktok to find out where they are walking next.
Walks are open to veterans, their family or support team and dogs
It's a safe space everyone sticks together and it's completed together

It's been a long day trying to get the Tribute Rocks and Poppy Rocks perfect to remember the 3 Naval Officers in Okehampton
The rocks will be Varnished tomorrow evening

Next week we will lay our Poppy Tribute Rocks, some Poppy Rocks and Crochet Poppies at the Camp in Okehampton where people are laying floral tributes for the 3 Naval Officers
Lt Cmdr Chris Gayson, Lt Lily-Mae Fisher and Petty Officer Owen Green
The rocks will be tidied and varnished tomorrow
We will remember them
