It’s Tuesday and if it’s feeling heavy already, just remember to set aside 5 minutes to reset, empty your mind of all chatter and breathe.

Two updates; firstly, I have tech gremlins and it appears the automation on my website for the free Ultimate Well-being Guide for Menopause is broken. I’ve created a printable self care checklist below. This is not exclusive to women, many men will benefit from applying some of the tips for maintaining overall mental health and wellbeing. I think at the moment, with the world in a state of flux, it’s vital to ensure we all focus on our physical and mental health and wellbeing. This is the one thing that we can control.

Stop telling yourself you’re "just stressed." 🚩

We’ve been conditioned to "white-knuckle" our way through midlife. We blame the job, the kids, the house, or our own "lack of discipline."

But what if it’s not your life? What if it’s your neurochemistry? 🧠

Check the boxes that feel true for you lately:
🌺 1. The "Intrusive Thought" Loop: Suddenly worrying about things that never bothered you before (driving, health, "what-ifs").

🌺 2. The Words are Gone: You know the word... it’s right there... but it’s like your brain is a library with the lights turned off.

🌺 3. The Invisible Rage: A sudden, white-hot flash of anger over something tiny (like a loud chewer or a misplaced sock) followed by immediate guilt.

🌺 4. The Social Battery is Dead: You used to love the party; now the thought of small talk feels physically painful.

🌺 5. The Midnight "Worry Hour": Waking up at 3:00 AM with a racing heart for absolutely no reason.

🌺 6. The "Can’t Cope" Feeling: Tasks that used to take 5 minutes now feel like climbing a mountain.

The Reality: When estrogen and progesterone fluctuate, they take your "calm" neurotransmitters (like GABA and Serotonin) with them.
