September…

There’s something about this time of year that makes me crave less.

Less quantity, noise, busyness, stuff, chaos…

And more rest. Community. Beauty. Quality. Slowness.

I think we need both community and solitude. Time spent with other people, sharing conversations and experiences, but also time to come back to ourselves. To put the phone down. To breathe. To move our bodies. To write. To notice what’s around us.

As summer slowly softens into autumn, I’m trying to lean into that feeling rather than rush past it. To enjoy the changing light, cooler evenings, slower mornings and all the little signs that a new season is arriving.

So, a few September offerings from me 🤎

🕯️ Every Thursday — Wind Down Yoga, 7.30pm Yogalicious Studio | Yoga, Pilates & Reformer, Shrewsbury
✨ Every Saturday — Beginners Yoga, 10.30am Yogalicious Studio | Yoga, Pilates & Reformer, Shrewsbury
✍🏼 13th September — Free Journaling Workshop, 4pm @ Yogalicious in collaboration with Self Love Sarah ❤️ Self-Love & Yoga Teacher
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 18th September — Free Welsh Social, 6pm The Condor | Coffee Shop | Community Events | Shrewsbury

Little pockets of time to rest, connect, create and just be.

Maybe September doesn’t need to be about getting back into the swing of things.

Maybe it can be about slowing down enough to actually arrive.

Slowly, softly, leaning into the autumn that’s ahead of us 🍂🤎

🌿 JOURNAL PROMPT OF THE WEEK 🌿

What are you being invited to let change?

September is a threshold.

Summer hasn’t quite left, but autumn is beginning to whisper at the edges.

There can be a temptation to rush through these in-between moments. To decide what’s next. To start again. To get organised. To make plans.

But what if we allowed ourselves to simply notice?

✨ What feels ready to shift?
✨ What are you ready to leave behind?
✨ What do you want to carry gently with you into the next season?
✨ Where might you allow yourself to simply be in the in-between?

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you step into the next season.

Perhaps September can be a soft landing.

A gentle transition.

A space to pause, reflect and arrive. 🍂

And if you’d like to explore this theme a little deeper, I’m co-hosting a FREE 90-minute journaling workshop at Yogalicious this Sunday, with the wonderful Self Love Sarah. 🤍

Week 36
A topsy-turvy week. Feel like life just spat me out of a washing machine spin cycle today 😂. Onwards we trudge.

My pondering for the day: What if heaven and hell are the same place? Just different perspectives? Can we shift the mind into seeing heaven in that wildflower instead of a w**d?

Week 35 • 2026 🌧️

The week where it rained. It rained a lot. Finally.

This week has been strange. Extremely busy and full of great things, but also an ending of sorts. Bittersweet.

I’m trying to stay mindful and present. To notice what is happening, rather than rushing past it.

Have you ever approached something knowing it would be for the last time?

There is a sadness in that. A tenderness, too.

And sometimes things just need to be felt and experienced, rather than described or retraced with words.

Words aren’t always needed.

Sometimes, we can simply be there for the moment, and let it be what it is.

☀️ MONDAY JOURNAL PROMPT

August is golden.

The evenings are still long.
The hedgerows are heavy with berries.
Sunflowers turn their faces towards the light.
There is still so much summer left to savour.
I always need to catch myself at this time of year… I’m always yearning for autumn to arrive. Yet, there is so much beauty left to enjoy. So much gold.

So this week, rather than rushing towards the next season, let’s pause and ask:

What is bringing a little light into my life right now?

What am I enjoying?
What makes me feel alive?
Where do I feel warmth, joy or possibility?
And how could I turn towards a little more of it?

You don’t have to wait for something big or extraordinary.

Perhaps there is beauty in the ordinary things you might otherwise overlook.

A warm evening.
Bare feet on grass.
A swim.
A good book.
Laughter with someone you love.
The colour of the sky.

What if the rest of this week was simply an invitation to notice the golden moments? ✨

Week 34 • 2026

Hurtling towards the end of August at pace 🏎️

Life does not wait. Time haphazardly heals, leaving scars in its wake.

Learning to be by myself more. To be without purpose more. To allow presence to settle in.

Noticing the discomfort of the present moment and simply sitting with it.

Discomfort will pass.

It’s okay to be at peace.

We don’t always need to achieve more, or do better. We can just be here, now, in this experience. This version of ourselves.

We’re allowed to enjoy this version of ourselves.

We don’t have to wait for a better time.

Often, there is no better time than now.

Tomorrow could be anything at all. But now? We know what there is now.

And we can choose to bring awareness to the best of it. To feel the best of it. To notice the edges of it.

Now is a pretty good place to be. 🫶

Happy Monday 🌿✨

This week, we’re stepping gently outside the comfort zone.

But here’s the thing: not all comfort is keeping us stuck.

Sometimes comfort is exactly what we need: rest, safety, softness, familiarity.

And sometimes, comfort becomes a place we hide. A place where we stop taking risks, avoid difficult conversations, say no to opportunities, or stay small because the unknown feels too uncomfortable.

So this week’s journal prompt is:

Where in my life am I choosing comfort, and is it helping me grow, or keeping me stuck?

Then go a little deeper:

✨ What am I avoiding because it feels uncomfortable or uncertain?

✨ What might become possible if I took one tiny step outside my comfort zone?

✨ What kind of discomfort is worth choosing?

✨ Where do I actually need more comfort, rest and softness?

You don’t need to blow your life up or leap into the unknown (like I did 😅)

Sometimes growth is simply taking one small, brave step. 🌱

And if you’d like some dedicated time and space to explore questions like these, my monthly online Journaling Class is happening Wednesday 26th August at 8pm 💌

A gentle evening of journaling, mindfulness and reflection… a chance to pause, put pen to paper and hear what’s really going on underneath the noise.

Come as you are. Bring a journal. Leave with a little more clarity. 🤍

Week 33.

I threw comfort out of the window this year.

I started climbing a new mountain range: full of obstacles, opportunity, confrontation and hardship.

I’d taken the easy path for too long. Avoided conflict. Avoided challenge. Comfort had made me soft. Weak, even.

But now, there’s a fire burning in me.

The hunger is growling in the pit of my stomach again.

I’m dangling from a cliff edge, but this time I’m making sure I have the best gear, the right knowledge, and the strength to tackle it head on.

No retreating. No turning back.

Traverse.
Continue.
