Today we want to celebrate the Hinchingbrooke Orthopaedic team who have successfully carried out the first CORI handheld robotic total hip replacement in the region. 💫
CORI is a computer-assisted handheld robotics surgical system, which allows very precise joint replacement surgery, accurately positioning and aligning the joint replacement implants, which would usually be done manually.
The system creates better outcomes for patients, accurately restoring leg length and lowering the dislocation and revision risk.
Shout out to Mr Rasheed Afinowi-Luitz, Consultant Orthopaedic Hip and Knee Surgeon and his team who have ensured our patients are getting even better care. 💙

Please be aware of the amber weather warning for thunderstorms and the yellow warning for rain, that has been issued for our region/ neighbouring regions.

The thunderstorm warnings are in place from 4am to 11am on Saturday. The rain warnings are in place for most of tomorrow and into Sunday.
