Autism and ADHD in the workplace. What are some things you wish your employer or the workplace in general knew about your Autism and ADHD. I'm looking for the more unknown traits or struggles you may have

One minute you’re vibing and the next, your socks feel like they’re made of sandpaper and your favorite meal is suddenly offensive. Welcome to life with AuDHD.
Living at the intersection of Autism and ADHD means navigating a constant tug-of-war between needing routine and needing novelty, all while managing sensory input that can change in a heartbeat.
The AuDHD struggle is real when:
- Clothing textures become a "sensory emergency" while you’re out.
- Your "safe food" of 3 weeks suddenly tastes like... nope.
- "Waiting Mode" paralyzes your entire day because of one 4pm appointment.
- The social battery hits 0% with absolutely no warning.
We’re unmasking the reality of neurodivergence, one relatable (and slightly chaotic) moment at a time. 🫶✨
Which of these hits home the hardest for you? Or do you have a number 5 to add to the list? Let’s talk in the comments

POV: You realized your 'personality traits' are actually a textbook case of AuDHD. The rigid routines and social scripting were just me trying to survive in a neurotypical world. Anyone else feel called out?

When you are Autistic and/or ADHD you can often be harder on yourself than you need to be. Especially when you are trying to navigate a world that wasn't built for your brain type, it is exhausting. Save these for later. Keep finding your sparkle ✨️

Being late-diagnosed Autistic and ADHD (AuDHD) woman often feels like living in a world that's not built for our brains. We talk about the big symptoms, but what about the daily internal tug-of-war?
From the emotional toll of a strong sense of justice to not being able to watch a recommended show. These struggles are real, valid, and way more common than you think.
Here are 4 AuDHD struggles we need to talk about more:
Justice Sensitivity - Caring deeply about fairness can lead to intense burnout and emotional exhaustion.
Hyperfocus vs. Interoception - Getting so lost in a project that your body’s signals for hunger and thirst just... disappear.
The "Vibe" Dilemma - Being hyper-aware of social energy but doubting your own intuition because of years of masking.
Demand Avoidance - When someone recommends a movie, it suddenly feels like a "chore," even if you wanted to see it!
I’m Leonie, and I’m building a space for us to unmask together. If you relate, you’re not alone 🫶

Being late diagnosed Autistic and ADHD Woman I grew up highly masking. Trying to fit in to a world that wasn't made for me. Hiding my Autistic and ADHD traits without even knowing what I was hiding. I embrace so much of this now. Over the last 5 years particularly, I have started to find my sparkle and accept myself. It's been a journey, especially when you add everything else in. But with patience, self care and unmasking I am proud of how far I have come 🫶

This week has been a powerful reminder of what happens when we lean into our AuDHD traits rather than hiding them. Being neurodivergent often comes with a strong sense of justice and a commitment to truth and safety even when it’s uncomfortable.
I’m reflecting on a few things that made me proud this week:
Using my voice: In the neurodivergent community, our "no-filter" honesty is a safety net. I’m proud of flagging AI safety concerns and prioritizing medical ethics over social hierarchy.
Community over Hierarchy: True ND support isn't about "knowing your place." It’s about a lateral, supportive circle where strangers become friends and no one walks alone.
Health Advocacy: Sharing my smear test journey as an autistic woman to help others navigate sensory processing and cervical screening. Seeing you book your appointments is the ultimate win.
To anyone feeling like they have to "dim their sparkle" to fit in: Your authenticity is your power. Don't let anyone convince you that your justice sensitivity is a flaw. It’s your sparkle.
Keeping my head high, my values clear, and my sparkle undimmed

How many of us speak the truth and get in trouble for it? I've often found that people ask you to be honest but when you are they seem to get really annoyed. But those close to me will always come to me as they know I will tell the truth. Its a funny thing to navigate
