A little appreciation post for this lot ❤️
10 people turned up on a Bank Holiday Monday morning to train with me and I came away feeling really grateful for the community we've built.
If I'm honest, the last year or so has been a pretty challenging season of my life.
There have been times where I've pulled back, questioned what I'm doing and haven't really had the energy or clarity to give Natural Born Heroes what I know I'm capable of giving it.
I've pretty much disappeared from social media and at times probably just done enough to keep things ticking over.
But these guys have kept turning up 🙌
Some of you have been training with me for years now, through the rain, cold, mud, dark winter evenings and everything in between 😆 I don't think I've ever properly said how much I've appreciated that loyalty 🙏
When I created Natural Born Heroes, I never wanted it to just be about fitness.
The Hero's Journey has always meant something deeper to me. We all go through challenges. We get lost sometimes, face our own dragons and go through periods where we can't quite see what comes next.
That's life really.
I wanted NBH to be a community of people supporting each other through those challenges. And the funny thing is, over the last couple of years I've probably needed that community as much as anyone.
Monday reminded me why I started all of this.
Getting outside. Moving our bodies. Challenging ourselves. Having a laugh. Doing things together.
And lately I've started to feel something shifting.
I'm not putting any big declarations on it or pretending I've got it all figured out.
I'm just starting to feel that call to adventure again.
To create. To play. To challenge myself. And to put some energy back into something that's meant a lot to me for a long time.
Maybe that's what the return is really about.
Not having everything figured out. Just hearing the call again and choosing to follow it.
Thank you to everyone who's kept showing up ❤️
Here's to whatever comes next 💪
