It might look tiny… but if it bothers YOU, it matters. 🤍

This little cherry angioma on my client’s cheek was something she was conscious of, especially as even makeup wasn’t covering it the way she wanted.

So, after assessment, we treated it with cryotherapy.

And this is the result. 🥹

Sometimes it’s the smallest things that can make us feel self-conscious — and you don’t have to justify wanting something treated simply because someone else thinks it’s “only small”.

Some of you may remember seeing my Skin Lesion Assessment Days advertised recently!

This lovely lady came along to one of those days regarding some skin tags, and while she was with me she asked for my advice about a mole she had been concerned about.

After assessing it, I explained why I felt it needed further medical assessment and advised her to go back to her GP with those concerns.

She later sent me a message to let me know that she had been taken seriously and has now been referred to dermatology for further assessment.

And THIS is exactly why those assessment days are so important to me.

They’re not just about removing skin lesions.

They’re about assessing what’s in front of me, working within my experience and scope, and importantly, recognising when something shouldn’t be treated and needs further medical assessment instead.

Sometimes the most valuable thing I can offer someone is advice and knowing when to refer on. 🤍

I’m so pleased she came to see me.

✨ Ever wondered how thread veins are actually treated?

This is microsclerotherapy in action.

Using a very fine needle, a prescription medicine is injected into the unwanted thread vein. The medicine works on the lining of the vein, and over the following weeks your body gradually absorbs it.

Thread veins are incredibly common and can develop due to:
• Pregnancy
• Genetics
• Hormonal changes
• Standing for long periods
• Ageing
