Trying for a baby? Your wellbeing matters too. ๐Ÿค

When we think about preparing for pregnancy, we often focus on tracking cycles, taking supplements, and eating well. While these are all important, one area that is often overlooked is stress and emotional wellbeing.

Trying to conceive can be an exciting time, but it can also bring uncertainty, pressure, disappointment, and a feeling that your life is constantly revolving around dates, apps, and symptom spotting.

When we're under prolonged stress, our bodies remain in a heightened state of alert. This can affect sleep, energy levels, mood, and our ability to truly switch off and rest. Supporting your overall wellbeing during this journey is important.

As a Midwife, I don't just support women during pregnancy and after birth. I'm passionate about supporting women before pregnancy too. Whether you're learning about your cycle, preparing your body for conception, or simply needing space to rest and recharge, I'm here to support you on your journey.

I provide a calm, nurturing space where you can slow down, relax, and take time for yourself. Many women tell me that their treatment becomes the one hour where they can simply breathe, unwind, and reconnect with their bodies.

Whether you're just starting your conception journey or have been trying for some time, you deserve support too.

If you're looking for a holistic approach to wellbeing while trying for a baby, I'd love to help.

๐Ÿ“ฉ Send me a message to find out more about my pre-conception wellbeing treatments.

Iโ€™m still hereโ€ฆ just very busy with life lately ๐Ÿ’›

I may have been a little quieter on social media, but Iโ€™ve still been in the treatment room looking after my lovely clients as usual.

If youโ€™re feeling like life is a bit busy too, come and spend some time with me. My pregnancy treatments are designed to help you rest, relax, and feel supported throughout your journey ๐Ÿคฐ

A gorgeous review from Becky ๐Ÿ’›

Helping women avoid induction of labour is one of my favourite treatments to offer.
It gives you the opportunity to discuss your birth plan, ask questions to a midwife, and share any worries or concerns you may have about induction and the different methods available.

Most importantly, it allows you time to de-stress, relax, and prepare for birth while giving your body a gentle nudge towards labour ๐Ÿ‘ถ

If you'd like to explore your options and feel more informed and supported as you approach birth, I'd love to help.

One of the most popular baby shower and new mum gifts? Our gift cards. ๐ŸŽโœจ

It's easy to see why they're such a favourite. Every pregnancy, birth and recovery journey is different, so a gift card gives mums the freedom to choose the support that's right for them.

They can be used for:
๐Ÿค Pain relief during pregnancy
๐Ÿค Relaxation and wellbeing treatments
๐Ÿค Support with sickness and indigestion
๐Ÿค Birth preparation treatments
๐Ÿค Postnatal recovery and self-care

Whether you're shopping for a baby shower, maternity leave gift, or welcoming a new arrival, a gift card is a thoughtful way to show you care.

Give the gift of support, comfort and time for themselves โ€“ something every mum deserves. ๐Ÿ’›

Heading home after a wonderful weekend away with my family ๐Ÿ’›

There is something so refreshing about slowing down, enjoying the early mornings in the fresh air, watching the sun set each evening, and taking a little time to celebrate another trip around the sun for my birthday ๐Ÿท๐ŸŽ‚

Taking time to rest, recharge and step away from the everyday is something I really value. It allows me to return feeling refreshed, grounded and ready to support the women and families I work with.

My diary is open this week, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all soon โœจ

Our last group walk was a massive success โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ถ

It was lovely to see so many wonderful mums and mums-to-be join us, with our youngest attendee being just 3 weeks old ๐Ÿ’›

The sun was out, so we took the shaded route for half of the walk before stopping for cold drinks at the end ๐Ÿฅค

Weโ€™ve officially locked this location in until the summer beach parking charges are gone ๐Ÿ˜…

โœจ Next walk:
๐Ÿ“… Thursday 18th June
โฐ 10:30am
๐Ÿ“ uptoncountrypark

All welcome โ€” weโ€™d love to see you there ๐Ÿค

After a day at the beach with my family in the sunshine, it really made me reflect on one of the things I love most about this job โ€” the flexibility it gives, not just for me, but for my clients too ๐Ÿค

Whether evenings, weekends or the occasional bank holiday appointment work best for you, Iโ€™ll always do what I can to accommodate around busy family life while still making sure you get the optimum results from your treatment โœจ

But family time will always be sacred too ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

Itching in pregnancy can be completely normal โ€” but it should always be checked.

One common cause is PUPPP (Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy), an uncomplicated itchy rash that often appears in the 3rd trimester. It usually starts in or around stretch marks on the abdomen and is more common in first pregnancies and pregnancies with rapid growth, such as twins or multiple pregnancies ๐Ÿ‘ถ ๐Ÿ‘ถ ๐Ÿ‘ถ

However, itching can sometimes be linked to more serious pregnancy complications, which is why itโ€™s important to be assessed by your Maternity Assessment Unit if you experience persistent itching ๐Ÿฅ

Something I've found difficult lately is having to say no to treatment.

When someone comes to me looking for support, relief, reassurance, or simply a moment to breatheโ€ฆ my instinct is always to help.

So when I have to decline treatment because something isn't clinically appropriate or safe, it genuinely weighs on me.

But complementary therapies are not suitable for everyone, and there are times where the safest and most responsible thing I can do is advise against treatment.

Please know that those decisions never come lightly.

They come from a place of professional accountability, care, and putting the wellbeing of you and your baby first โ€” always.

As difficult as those conversations are, I hope they also reassure people that your safety will never be compromised for the sake of offering a treatment.

Caring deeply about the people I work with is exactly what makes these decisions so hard ๐Ÿค

Today this wonderful mummy returned to the treatment room ๐Ÿค

Having had treatments with me throughout her pregnancy, she came back today with her gorgeous baby boy for a postnatal treatment ๐Ÿ˜

I truly canโ€™t put into words how grateful I am to be trusted by my wonderful clients during such an important and transformative time in their lives.

It was such a privilege to finally meet the little man weโ€™d been talking about for so long ๐Ÿ’™

We tailored mumโ€™s treatment to help relieve her back ache, support emotional balance, and still allow plenty of baby snuggles too ๐Ÿ’ซ
