🥵🥵🥵Due to the weather warning in place tomorrow and the early school closures across Portsmouth, many of our volunteers will be directly affected. As a result, we have made the decision to cancel tomorrow's group at

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Our group at Paulsgrove Family Hub is running from 10:30am-12pm as normal so please do come and see us there.

🎉 We are so excited to be there for the Paulsgrove & Wymering Carnival 2026

🌡Feeling hot, hot, hot!🌡With the temperature rising and heatwave conditions, and weather warnings forecast for the week, we thought a share of this handy graphic and information might be useful!
If you're breastfeeding your little one in this heat, remember:
☀️ In hot weather, your baby may want to feed more often or for longer than usual 🥵
☀️ If they're under 6 months and exclusively breastfed, there's no need to give any additional water - just feed on demand to keep them hydrated and make sure you're getting plenty of fluids yourself.
☀️ Your body will generally continue producing enough milk for your baby's demand (except if you get extremely dehydrated), but keep on top of your water and ice lolly intake for your own wellbeing! 💧🍨🍉
☀️ Babies over 6 months who have started eating solid foods should be offered water in a cup with meals and throughout the day in hot weather.

What a wonderful day we had at Armed Forces Day! 🇬🇧

Spirits were high from the very start. It was so lovely to see the crowds out enjoying the celebrations, and by the afternoon the sunshine arrived to make an already fantastic day even brighter ☀️

We were absolutely blown away by the number of incredible people who stopped by our tent. We met families, babies, expectant parents, grandparents, friends, and so many people who were genuinely interested in and supportive of the breastfeeding support we offer across Portsmouth 💜

Throughout the day we shared beautiful conversations, offered support and reassurance, celebrated familiar faces, welcomed new friends, and enjoyed plenty of bubbles, stickers, colouring, laughter, reflection, and of course, babies being fed. Our tent was buzzing with connection and community all day long 🫧

A huge thank you to Portsmouth City Council for having us. We are so grateful to have been part of such a special event and to everyone who took the time to come and say hello 💜

Today is the day!

🌞We are super excited to be at Armed Forces Day again this year

🥳No tickets are needed - just turn up and enjoy the event. Portsmouth City Council organises this free annual event to let Portsmouth residents and visitors come together to honour current and former members of our armed forces.
Live displays ✈️
A music stage offering shows from local acts through the day 🎤🎼
Stalls from veterans, charities and military organisations.

🤱🏾We will be there with a welcoming space for you to sit in the shade, feed your little one and chat with our volunteers.

💜 It's set to be a brilliant day 🌞🌳

📸✈This year there will be something extra special, with attendees having the chance to be part of Portsmouth history. A photo will be captured from an Airbus space satellite of visitors forming the Portsmouth100 logo in the main arena📸✈

Go along for 11.49am (the precise time when the satellite will pass over) to get involved and form part of history!
