The face of a mum who has tried her hardest to juggle work & being there for my child for the last 5 weeks… with about a week and a half left to go, I’m feeling the strain of it. It’s my first summer holidays and having a “proper job” to navigate. The pressure of feeling like I want to be a good mum and be there the whole time for Rowan but also trying not to let the people I work for down (and also trying to earn money in that time!) the juggle is real and I hear and see you, every parent in the same position. 🫶
Forever grateful for family stepping in and helping out mahoosively and for holiday club close to home with familiar faces for Rowan.
There’s no doubt about it, he’s a sensitive soul and a mummy’s boy so it makes it all doubly hard, but I wouldn’t have him any other way.
I was with him all day today and then when Rob got home, did a quick swap and got my osteopath hat on now.
We’re nearly there guys.
I have absolutely loved the slower days (where we’ve been able to) and to spend as much time with Rowan as possible. I know these days won’t be here forever. So I am making the most of the imaginative play, the playing with cuddly toys, the puppet shows, the play dough, the brio, the sand, the play parks…
In the blink of an eye and all that.
Big love 💚
