Appointments are 45 mins to allow for nervous little ones and plenty of time to feel confortable and give consent. I will only pierce your little one if they agree to it, nerves are normal but sometime they are just not ready 🩷🫶🏻

Children's Piercings Summer Holidays -

I wanted to do a quick post as I have had lots of questions around children's piercings. We have decided going forward we will be offering childrens piercings to 8+ only.

Please ensure you check your schools piercing/ jewellery wearing policy to make sure the earring can stay in place for the full healing period. Replacing with plastic posts or removing during the healing phase will cause irritation or closure, so it is important to allow time for healing.

Typically, ear lobe piercings take around 4-6 months to fully heal. Initial healing period up to 6 weeks when the post can be downsized by your piercer.

Piercings heal from the outside in, so even if it appears/feels ok on the outside, inside is still healing so taking jewellery in and out for sports etc will cause irritation, swelling and redness.

We want your childs first piercing to be memorable and a happy experience, so if the policy allows and aftercare can be followed we would love to share the experience with your little one!

Booking will open Thursday for Summer Holidays piercings.

Needle Only Piercing Redcar? 🪡👂🏼

We only use needles at Onyx no guns allowed here! Here are my 2 favorite types of needle to use - the Hollow needle and cannula.

Both give precision clean less traumatic piercing which enable quick healing, correct position and less issues usually caused by the 🔫

All piercing still need to be maintained and loomed after correctly to get the best healed results regardless of method, please make sure you follow your piercers advice and aftercare!
