Spoiler: you CAN lose fat without calorie counting ✨👇

It’s not just about LESS food / MORE movement

Energy balance is the principle, but the method you use to get there matters 🤝

3 easy steps to get you started:

✨ MORE LEAN PROTEIN
I know the fitness industry bangs on about protein, but there’s a reason. Choosing these foods as a base for your meals (especially in a fat loss phase) is going to help you feel fuller for longer without the high calorie price tag. That’s gonna help you eat less calories overall = bigger calorie deficit ⚖️

✨ HIGHER VOLUME FOODS
I’m including more fibre here, too. Aiming to switch foods for lower-calorie options without reducing the actual volume of what’s on your plate is a great way to lower your energy intake without needing to track/count. Think:
Full fat yoghurt ➡️ 0% fat yoghurt
Potato fries ➡️ Carrot / Parsnip fries
Full sugar coke ➡️ Diet Coke
2 Slice Sandwich ➡️ Wholemeal Pitta / wrap
Latte ➡️ Americano

✨ LESS EATING OUT
Ok ok, I’m sure I’m gonna ruffle a few feathers here. Of course you can still eat out or have a few drinks AND lose fat… but it’s not going to make it easy, especially if you don’t want to count calories. Meals out and alcohol both tend to come with a higher calorie tag, so aiming to reduce how often you have them is going to make it a little easier to keep to a calorie deficit overall. You could even suggest going for an active option for social time rather than a restaurant/bar… think sunny walks, bowling and darts!! Or how about making a ‘Fakeaway’ at home rather than ordering that Chinese 🙈

Fat loss doesn’t have to be gruelling, but you do have to make some compromises 💖

I’m using Per4m’s blueberry muffin whey and salted caramel ZERO syrup for this recipe, but you could mix up the flavours however you prefer!

🧡 30g Blueberry Muffin Per4m Whey
🥚 1 medium egg
🥣 30g fine oats
🥛 100ml unsweetened soya milk
🫐 60g blueberries
🇬🇷 120g 0% Greek Yoghurt
🧡 Generous drizzle of Per4m’s Salted Caramel Syrup
