☀️ Hot weather can be tough on your skin, I thought I’d share my Top Summer Self-Care Tips to help keep your skin calm, hydrated, and glowing:
1️⃣ Swap heavy skin creams for lightweight gels, lotions, or hydrating serums that won’t trap heat or sweat.
2️⃣ Avoid strong retinols or high-strength acids right before sun exposure, they can make skin more sensitive in the heat.
3️⃣ Hydration matters inside AND out 💧Drink plenty of water and don’t skip moisturiser just because your skin feels oily.
4️⃣ Look for ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, and Ceramides to keep skin hydrated and supported.
5️⃣ Soothe overheated skin with calming ingredients like Aloe Vera, Niacinamide, and Centella Asiatica 🌿
6️⃣ Keep facial mists, toners, or after-sun products in the fridge for an instant cooling treat ❄️
7️⃣ Protect your skin with SPF, hats, sunglasses, and shade during the hottest parts of the day.
8️⃣ Give your feet some love with a cooling foot soak.My favourite mix: Epsom salts, bicarbonate of soda, apple cider vinegar & a peppermint tea bag or two (yes really) 🛁
9️⃣ Need a quick refresh? I love using TEMPLESPA aaahh! balm on the neck, Breath of Life on the temples and my absolute favourite is Toning Essence as a refreshing facial spritz (can even be used over makeup) 🙌
🔟 Cleanse properly in the evening to remove sweat, SPF, and pollution so your skin can recover overnight.
