*** IMPORTANT***
*** DRAWING A LINE. TIME FOR A CHANGE ***
To all my current and future clients, I want to share a bit about how I work and why I’ve decided to make some changes to my booking process.
Tattooing is so much more than a transaction to me. It isn’t just about the money; it’s an art form that I care about deeply and spend/have spent the majority of my life on. Because I hold myself to a high standard. I’ve realized I can no longer work under the "countdown clock."
When a client expects high-detail work to be squeezed into a strict or restricted timeframe, it creates a level of pressure and stress that kills the creative process. I need the freedom to work until the art is right. I am always happy to break larger, expensive pieces into smaller, manageable sessions to respect your budget—but I will never rush a tattoo just to beat a timer.
I am an artist, but I am also human. Sometimes, life happens.I have recently received a diagnosis for a health condition and am on medication that I am currently learning to manage. Most days, I am 100% on my game, but occasionally, it means I may have to reschedule an appointment if I’m not in the right physical or mental state to give you my best work.
If my head or my heart isn't 100% in the studio due to home life or personal stress, I may have to reschedule.
I hate doing it, and I don't take it lightly. However, the risk of making a mistake on your permanent skin because my mind is elsewhere is a risk I refuse to take. You deserve my best; if I can’t give that to you on a specific day, I won't pick up the machine.
Moving Forward
To protect my craft and my mental health:
• I reserve the right to choose what and who I tattoo. * I am prioritizing clients who respect the time and energy this art requires.
• If the energy is high-stress or the expectations are unrealistic, I am not the artist for you.
• Respect is a two-way street. I’m prioritizing clients who value the process as much as the result.
Lately, I’ve been bending my own rules to be accommodating. I’ve allowed split sessions that I shouldn’t have, let deposits slide to be "helpful," and worked under intense time pressure to fit someone else’s schedule.
Unfortunately, I’ve found that when you bend the rules for people, they often take the p**s out of your kindness. I’ve had clients walk away or cancel the second I tried to set a basic boundary about time and stress. The "exceptions" are officially over. My rules exist to ensure the art is perfect.
Thank you to the legends who have stuck by me, understood the reschedules, and trusted the vision. I’m looking forward to doing my best work yet with the people who actually respect the craft. 🤘✨
