🌞 Birthdays look a lil different with a little one in tow!

What a year it has been 😮 . Mostly, spent navigating the wild changes, challenges and joys that come with pregnancy and Motherhood…a time so full of paradox yet so so full of love 💛

And so, to mark the occasion of another year round the sun, I’m doing what I always do at this time of year and offering up THREE FREE 20min mentoring sessions. Buttttt, this time with a focus on breath & I’m looking specifically for three mothers (or mothers to be) in need of a little support.

This last year, my breath practice has been like a little locket I’ve carried round with me. Heart-shaped and holding the key to creating a space that feels safe for myself and my little love.

From womb to earth side, Elodie has been experiencing me shifting my state from flustered, anxious, frustrated, scared, overwhelmed to calm, steady, ready, capable and so so strong. She’s witnessed me doing this through intentional manipulation of my breathing (amongst other tools but breath being a first point of call).

I’ve used it at midnight, one am, two am, three am to help regulate my HR and hers. To help rest and return to sleep after the night feeds. To prepare for first work events post-maternity. Before, during and after her birth. When I carefully place her in her cot. As I wake in the morning so that I can pick her up from a regulated, mindful and heartful place. Before I speak my truth and communicate my needs to those around me. To keep calm while driving her around (iykyk). And everything in between.

Writing this after waking from a nap with baba 🥰 (I chose rest rather than running round clearing up the mess we made today!)

We’ve been taught to wear exhaustion like a badge of honour.
To keep pushing. Producing. Proving.
But what if rest isn’t something you earn… what if it’s something you deserve?

Rest allows us to hear ourselves again.

💫 I’m back in the world of the working!

Slowly but surely, I’m making a return. I’m not planning on this being a swift re-entry to the working world…. More a soft launch, a gentle calling in of the kind of work which allows me to still show up fully for motherhood.

It’s official 💫

I’m beginning my maternity leave today!

Being self-employed means this may look slightly different for me. I’m hoping to mostly be off work until April but there are a few bits n bobs in the diary before then which I am very excited about! So, whilst, on the whole, I’ll be taking a break from socials, emails and client sessions, you may see some scheduled content pop up here from time to time which will keep you up to date with upcoming courses & retreats 💞. If you could do me a favour and share and interact with these, that would be wonderful & much appreciated 💛
