That's a wrap on the Feed Your Mind campaign!

Over the past few weeks we've explored how nutrition, healthy habits and supportive communities can all play a role in our overall wellbeing.

Together we've talked about:

🧠 The gut-brain connection
πŸ₯— Building balanced meals
πŸ’§ The importance of hydration
🌱 Small, sustainable habit changes
πŸ’¬ Sharing experiences and supporting one another

The biggest message I'd love you to take away is this:
✨ Looking after your wellbeing doesn't require perfection. Small, consistent choices really can make a difference over time.

Thank you to everyone who has liked, shared, commented on posts and completed my survey. Your support has been invaluable.

Although this campaign is coming to an end, the conversation doesn't have to.

What's one healthy habit you'll continue beyond this week?
I'd love to hear your answer in the comments.

Thank you for being part of the Feed Your Mind community.

Let's start a conversation!

Food isn't just about nutrients, it's also linked to memories, culture, comfort and the people we share meals with.

One person's feel good food might be a bowl of homemade soup, while someone else loves porridge with berries or a favourite family recipe.

Building a healthy relationship with food means recognising that eating should be enjoyable as well as nourishing.

πŸ’¬ I'd love to know...
🍽️ What's your go-to feel-good meal or snack?

Share yours in the comments, you might inspire someone else to try something new!
Remember, there isn't one perfect food. It's our overall eating habits and lifestyle that matter most.

πŸ“š Research spotlight: Professor Felice Jacka's Brain Changer highlights the importance of overall dietary patterns, while positive psychology reminds us that enjoyment, social connection and sustainable habits all contribute to wellbeing.

Healthy eating doesn't have to be complicated. Instead of focusing on individual foods, try thinking about balance.

A simple way to build a nourishing meal is to include:

πŸ₯¦ Plenty of vegetables or salad
🌾 Wholegrain carbohydrates for steady energy
πŸ— A source of protein
πŸ₯‘ A small amount of healthy fats
πŸ’§ Water to stay hydrated

It's these consistent habits over time that make the biggest difference, not striving for perfection.

πŸ’¬ What's your favourite balanced meal?

πŸ“š Research spotlight: Professor Felice Jacka highlights that overall dietary patterns are more important than individual foods when supporting long-term health and wellbeing.

Hydration isn't just about quenching your thirstβ€”it helps your body and brain function at their best.

When life gets busy, it's easy to forget to drink enough water. Even mild dehydration can make it harder to concentrate and may leave you feeling tired or less alert.

One simple habit that helps me is carrying a reusable water bottle wherever I go. It's a small reminder to keep sipping throughout the day.

✨ Today's challenge: How are you staying hydrated?

Do you:

πŸ’§ Carry a water bottle?
πŸ‹ Add lemon or fruit to your water?
🧊 Prefer it chilled?
πŸ₯€ Have another favourite way to stay hydrated?

πŸ“š Staying hydrated supports normal physical and cognitive function and is an important part of a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

Can what you eat affect your mood?

When we think about healthy eating, we often focus on physical health, but research suggests that our diet may also play a role in supporting our mental wellbeing.

Rather than relying on one "superfood", studies show it's our overall eating pattern that matters most. A balanced diet rich in vegetables, fruit, wholegrains, legumes, healthy fats and lean sources of protein provides nutrients that support normal brain function and overall health.

It's also important to remember that nutrition is just one piece of the wellbeing puzzle. Regular exercise, good sleep, meaningful social connections and professional support (where needed) all play an important role in mental wellbeing.

πŸ’¬ What healthy food helps you feel your best?

Is there a meal or snack that leaves you feeling energised or ready to take on the day? Share it in the comments, your ideas might inspire someone else!

Sunday Reset

A new week is a fresh opportunity to look after yourself, one small step at a time.
Healthy habits don't have to be overwhelming. Choosing one or two realistic goals each week is often more sustainable than trying to change everything at once.

This week, I'm focusing on:

πŸ’§ Staying hydrated
πŸ₯— Eating balanced meals
🚢 Moving my body
😴 Prioritising sleep
πŸ’š Taking time to recharge

✨ What is one healthy habit you're going to focus on this week?

Share your goal in the comments, I’d love to hear what you're working towards, and together we can encourage each other.

Remember, progress isn't about being perfect. It's about making small, consistent choices that support your overall wellbeing.

This is how I like to start my morning.

Creating a consistent morning routine helps me feel prepared for the day ahead. I always begin with plenty of fluids and a nutritious breakfast, giving myself time to pause before the day gets busy.

For me, that includes:

πŸ’§ Aloe drink
🍡 Herbal tea
πŸ₯€ A protein shake

Everyone's routine looks a little different, and the most important thing is finding healthy habits that fit your lifestyle.

πŸ’¬ Let's have a bit of fun...

🍡 What's your favourite tea flavour?
πŸ₯€ Shakes, what's your go-to flavour?

I'd love to hear your favourites in the comments! Mine is currently Dubai Chocolate but I do love a strawberry cheesecake (cookie crunch with strawberry).

This weekend's Feed Your Mind Challenge!

Healthy habits don't have to be complicated. Sometimes the smallest changes are the easiest to stick to.

πŸ‘‡ Choose ONE habit to focus on this weekend:

πŸ₯¦ Eat one extra portion of vegetables.
πŸ’§ Drink an extra glass of water.
🚢 Go for a 20-minute walk.
😴 Get an extra 30 minutes of sleep.
😊 Take 10 minutes to relax and unwind.

πŸ’¬ Comment below with the number of the habit you've chosen!

At the end of the week, let us know how you got on.

Every small step counts. πŸ’š

MYTH vs FACT

Have you ever thought that eating healthily is too expensive?

The truth is that many nutritious foods are some of the most affordable options available. Building a balanced diet doesn't mean buying expensive supplements or so called "superfoods". Everyday foods like oats, beans, frozen vegetables and eggs can provide valuable nutrients and fit within most budgets.

The goal isn't perfection, it's making small, sustainable choices that work for you.

πŸ’¬ What's your favourite healthy meal that's budget-friendly? Share your ideas below to inspire others!

πŸ“š Research continues to show that overall dietary patterns are more important than individual "superfoods" when it comes to supporting health and wellbeing.

Feed your brain as well as your body!

The foods we eat provide the nutrients our brains need to function at their best. Research in nutritional psychiatry suggests that following a balanced dietary pattern, rich in vegetables, fruit, wholegrains, legumes, nuts and healthy fats, may support both physical health and aspects of mental wellbeing.

Remember, there isn't one single "superfood" for mental health. It's the overall pattern of what we eat over time that matters most.

πŸ’¬ Which of these foods do you already include in your diet?

Share your favourite in the comments! πŸ‘‡
