How Can You Help?

You don’t have to fundraise, organise a big event, or make a financial commitment to support Melanoma‑Me. Those things are always appreciated — but there are so many simple, meaningful ways you can help and every act of support helps us reach the next person who needs us.

You can support Melanoma‑Me by:
🦋Sharing our posts
🦋Comment on a post to boost visibility
🦋Tell someone about Melanoma‑Me/signpost them to our website
🦋Forward one of our posts to someone who might need it
🦋Add us to a resource list at work or in a community group
🦋Include us in a newsletter or bulletin/add our details to your organisation’s internal wellbeing resource.
🦋Share your own story or experience (if comfortable) to help others feel less alone
🦋Recommend us to a GP practice, charity, or support organisation
🦋Introduce us to someone who might want to collaborate
🦋Offer to distribute leaflets locally
🦋Volunteering your time or skills or attend an event to support us

Simply telling someone we exist means the word to us and helps us to continue to provide the support we do.

If you would like a chat about how you can help us further please drop us a message.

Thank you ❤🦋💙

Important - please read 🌟A little reminder about what makes Melanoma-Me possible 🦋

We’re incredibly proud to be a charity that people know they can turn to during some of the hardest and most frightening times of their lives.

At the heart of everything we do is people. Supporting those navigating melanoma, offering somewhere to talk, providing counselling, creating a safe space at our Hub, and making sure nobody feels like they have to face this disease alone.

We also work hard to raise awareness of melanoma and the realities of the disease. So much of what you see from us is about sharing experiences, starting conversations and helping people recognise that, behind every diagnosis, there is a real person trying to navigate something they never expected to face.

But there’s another side to running a charity that we don’t always talk about.
Our main funding source ended in January and we receive very little regular funding.

That means the events we hold throughout the year are incredibly important to us. They help us raise the money that keeps our services going from counselling and emotional support, to keeping our Hub open, paying the rent, gas and electric, insurance, resources and all the everyday costs involved in providing such a valuable space for our community.

And this is where our community come in. 🦋

When you see us promoting an event, please don’t scroll past. Share it. Tag someone. Tell your friends.

And if you can come along — come and have a brilliant night with us!

We have some fantastic events coming up, including;

💃 Bella Bluebell Bonkers Bingo and Diva Night

🚶 Step-Tember Challenge

🦋 Butterfly Ball

🎶 Legacy Live 27

We would absolutely love to see as many of our wonderful community at these events as possible. We host these events for several reasons, it’s not just about raising money, but about bringing people together, having fun, making memories and celebrating the incredible community that has grown around Melanoma-Me.

Without these events, we simply couldn’t continue to provide the level of support we do.

So please keep sharing. Keep coming. Keep talking about us. If you have anything that you can donate to our raffles we are incredibly grateful!

Every ticket bought, every share, every raffle ticket, every donation and every person who turns up makes a difference.

You are part of what keeps Melanoma-Me here for the people who need us most and for that, as always, we are incredibly grateful. 🙏

Thank you for standing alongside us.

It’s that time of the year again when we are planning our main event - The Butterfly Ball! As well as this this our lovely patron Bella Bluebell is doing her own show for us and we are desperately in need of raffle prizes.

So if you have any unwanted gifts, bottles, jewellery, smellies lying around your house feeling unloved -please consider donating them to us as they are instrumental in fundraising for the charity

Also if you can offer us a voucher - hotel, beauty, restaurant, bar etc we would so appreciate it!

Thank you so much 🦋
