Face chart breakdown – Twisted Queen of Hearts 👑♥️

Starting with structure and placement to map out proportions inside the heart shape — keeping symmetry strong is key when your entire design revolves around a bold central form.

Soft contour and blush tones were layered first to sculpt dimension and create that regal, porcelain base worthy of a dark Queen of Hearts.

Once the foundation was blended, I built intensity around the eyes — deep reds, shadow placement and exaggerated lash direction to draw focus upward and create that commanding, almost sinister stare.

The “bleeding heart” effect was added last using controlled splatter and layered pigment for texture and movement — dramatic but intentional.

Face charts are where I experiment with balance, colour storytelling and graphic framing (hello checkerboard + cards ♠️) before it ever reaches skin.

Dark fairytale.
Strategic placement.
The Queen always plans her move. 🖤👑

🎨✨ Face Charts by Me ✨🎨
Face charts are where every look begins. Before the brushes, before the glitter, before the prosthetics – it starts on paper.
I use face charts to design, map out colour placement, test concepts and bring my ideas to life before they ever touch skin. From soft glam to full SFX transformations, they help me refine details, balance structure, and push my creativity further.
They’re not just sketches — they’re blueprints for the final masterpiece.

Anatomy study but make it body art 🫀🎨

Hand-painted muscle illusion across the shoulder and chest, mapping out the natural structure first and then building depth with layered reds, deeper maroons, and fine directional brush strokes to mimic real muscle fibres. The soft pink highlights define separation, while darker shading underneath creates that lifted, dimensional effect.

Body painting like this is all about understanding anatomy — where muscles attach, how they curve, and how light would naturally hit them — so the illusion feels believable from every angle.
Art meets science… on skin ✨

Turning a shoulder into a little garden 🌿💜

Hand-painted body art using a soft green base to map out the foliage, then layered lilac, violet, and white dot work to build depth and texture in the flowers. Darker tones underneath for shadow, lighter highlights on top to make each bloom pop.

Body art is all about working with the natural curves of the body — letting the design flow and move with it rather than sit flat on the skin ✨

Brewed from shadows and bad decisions 🕯️🖤

Full theatrical SFX witch transformation using a hand-applied prosthetic nose, carefully blended into the natural skin with adhesive and built up in thin layers to avoid harsh edges.

The real magic is in the paint work — mapping out where the face would naturally crease, exaggerating expression lines around the mouth and eyes, and deepening shadows to create that gaunt, storybook villain structure.
I focused on texture over colour — stippling to break up smooth skin, adding subtle age spots and tonal variation so it doesn’t read flat on camera, and enhancing bone structure with strategic contour to push the silhouette further into character. The brows were strengthened and slightly reshaped to give that mischievous, scheming expression even at rest.

Theatre makeup isn’t about pretty — it’s about presence. It’s about building something that moves with your face, holds up under lighting, and tells a story before you even speak.

A little latex. A lot of layering.

And just enough menace to make you check what’s brewing in the cauldron 🖤🧙🏻‍♀️

Obsessed with how this aging SFX study turned out 🧓🏼✨

This look was all about subtle layering — building texture into the skin, soft contouring to naturally hollow the face, adding fine line detailing around the eyes and forehead, and greying out the brows to instantly shift the age. The beard shadow was lightly stippled in to create that realistic salt-and-pepper growth without it looking flat or painted on.

Aging makeup isn’t about heavy lines — it’s about placement, patience, and understanding how skin naturally folds and settles over time. Every shadow tells a story.
SFX practice like this reminds me why I fell in love with transformation makeup in the first place 🖤

🩸 SFX Makeup — Where Art Meets Illusion 🩸

Not all makeup is meant to be pretty.
Some of it is meant to disturb… transform… and tell a story.

Special Effects Makeup (SFX) is where I turn skin into canvas — creating realistic wounds, eerie creatures, fantasy transformations, and cinematic horror looks. From subtle scars to full character creations, every piece is handcrafted with detail, texture, and intention.

This isn’t just fake blood and latex.
It’s anatomy study.
It’s colour theory.
It’s patience.
It’s storytelling.

Whether it’s Halloween, creative shoots, events, theatre, or just because you want to become something otherworldly for a day — I’ve got you covered (sometimes literally in blood 🩸).
