🏁 The Race Season May Be Over... But We'll Be Back! 🏍️🚑

The Centurion Medical IOW team were back at Smallbrook Stadium, home of the Wightlink Warriors Speedway Club, for the final meeting of this year's Island Speedway season.

What a season it's been! 🔥

From adrenaline-filled racing and incredibly skilled riders to fantastic crowds and a brilliant atmosphere, Speedway has once again shown why it's such an important part of the Island's sporting calendar.

And this year was even more special as Island Speedway celebrated 30 years of Speedway on the Isle of Wight! 🎉

What an achievement!

We've absolutely loved being trackside throughout the season, providing medical cover and watching some fantastic racing along the way.

We're incredibly proud that Centurion Medical has been awarded a three-year contract to provide medical cover for Speedway on the Island, and we can't wait to return next season!

A huge thank you to Martin Widman, along with all the committee, staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to keep Smallbrook Stadium, and Island Speedway running.

And that work doesn't stop when the racing does.

Behind the scenes, an incredible amount of time and effort goes into maintaining the site, preparing the track and making sure everything is ready for the next season.

🚑 Another Busy Week for the Centurion Medical IOW Team! 🎪🏁

It's been another action-packed week for the Island team, with our clinicians supporting events across the Isle of Wight.

🏁 Tuesday – Island Speedway

We were back at Smallbrook Stadium, home of the Wightlink Warriors Speedway Club, for another evening of Speedway, providing:

🚑 Technician-led Emergency Ambulance

Keeping riders, officials, staff and spectators safe throughout another night of high-speed racing.

🎆 Wednesday – Sandown Illuminated Carnival

We were delighted to return to Sandown Carnival for their spectacular Illuminated Carnival, providing Paramedic-led Event Medical Cover throughout the evening.

It's always a pleasure working alongside the Sandown Carnival team and supporting another fantastic community event.

🚂 Bank Holiday Weekend – Island Steam Fair

And we're not finished yet!

This Bank Holiday Weekend, our team will be providing Paramedic-led Medical Cover at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway for their 51st Island Steam Fair.

🏁 What a Night at Speedway! 🏍️🚑

Tonight at Smallbrook Stadium, the action was turned up a notch for the Island Best Pairs Championship sponsored by Mark Cooper, alongside the NORA British Women's Final!

The evening was packed with action, drama and some seriously impressive riding, with the quality of racing we've come to expect from Island Speedway, home of the Wightlink Warriors Speedway Club.

And what an atmosphere! 🔥

The stadium was packed with spectators, with so many fans turning out that the banks were starting to fill up. It's fantastic to see such a strong crowd supporting Speedway on the Island!

🏍️⚡ Electric Dirt Bikes Meet Speedway! 🏁🚑

What a fantastic day at Smallbrook Stadium! Home of the Wightlink Warriors Speedway Club!

The Centurion Medical IOW team were on site supporting EXGB with their Speedway Experience, as part of the E-Bee Wight Stars Electric Dirt Bike Festival.

It was a brilliant opportunity for young riders aged between 3 and 14 to experience the thrill of riding on a real shale track and Speedway circuit.

And what a spectacle it was! ⚡🏍️

The all-electric bikes were certainly something different to see flying around the track, but the real highlight was watching the incredible talent, enthusiasm and confidence of the young riders.

It was fantastic to see a new generation getting involved in motorsport and experiencing Speedway in such an exciting and unique way.

We're proud to have been there providing professional event medical cover and helping keep the riders, organisers and spectators safe throughout the day.

This weekend, some of the Centurion Medical IOW team travelled to the Midlands to support our colleagues at Centurion Medical Services as they began an exciting new contract providing CQC-registered medical cover at a football stadium.

It was a real privilege to be part of the first match under the new contract and to help deliver a professional medical operation from day one.

It was also a fantastic opportunity to meet some of our Midlands colleagues in person for the first time. Being part of the wider Centurion Medical Services family means our teams can work together across the country, sharing experience, resources and expertise to deliver the same high standard of care wherever we're needed.

🏁 A Night of Adrenaline-Filled Racing! 🏍️🚑

Last night, the Centurion Medical IOW team were back at Smallbrook Stadium, providing medical cover for another action-packed evening of shale track racing at Island Speedway!

Our deployment included:

⚕️ Operational Commander
🩺 Paramedic-led Trackside Response Team
🚑 Technician-led Emergency Ambulance

The Wightlink Warriors and Wightlink Wizards took on the Mildenhall Speedway Club in an incredibly close meeting, packed with non-stop racing, plenty of drama and a fantastic atmosphere.

It all came down to a thrilling final, with the Fen Tigers eventually taking the win 46–44. A fantastic contest and an agonisingly close result for the Warriors!

🏍️ 30 Years of Speedway on the Isle of Wight!

Island Speedway is celebrating its 30th year of Speedway on the Island, and if you've never been to Smallbrook Stadium, it's a fantastic evening out for the whole family.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Under 16s go FREE when accompanied by a paying adult!

🚑 Another Busy Weekend! 🎉⛵🏁

Even though the sailing may have finished for Cowes Week on Friday with an incredible Fireworks Display, the Centurion Medical IOW team certainly haven't slowed down!

We've continued supporting events across the Island throughout the weekend, including:

🏛️ Musto's The Lawn Bar, Northwood House
We provided Urgent Care Assistant-led Medical Cover for the incredible PLASTIC MERMAIDS, before remaining to site on Sunday for the final part of the Wight Proms Festival. Finishing off the Cowes Week 200 Bicentennial Celebrations.

🎉 Sandown Bay Regatta
Our Paramedic-led Response Team was on hand throughout the community event, helping to keep participants, volunteers and spectators safe.

It's always a pleasure working alongside the Sandown Carnival Team, who once again put on a fantastic event for the community.

🏁 And we're not finished yet!

Tomorrow we're back at Smallbrook Stadium for Wightlink Warriors Speedway, providing our Paramedic-led Trackside Response Team, supported by a Technician-led Emergency Ambulance.

We're looking forward to another evening of fast-paced racing, a brilliant atmosphere and, hopefully, a chance for the team to enjoy some of the action too!

🎆 North Sails Cowes Week 200 Fireworks Night... Completed! 🚑⛵

What a night!

Centurion Medical IOW was proud to provide the medical operation for the Cowes Week 200 Fireworks Night, with a large deployment across Cowes Seafront to support the thousands of spectators who descended on the town to enjoy one of the highlights of the Cowes Week calendar.

Yesterday was another fantastic day for the Centurion Medical IOW team, providing medical cover across multiple events on the Isle of Wight.

At Cowes Week 2026, our Emergency Ambulance was once again supporting the on-the-water sailing activities. It remains a real privilege to play our part in helping keep competitors, officials and spectators safe at one of the world's most prestigious sailing events.

As the racing got underway at Smallbrook Stadium, our speedway team was trackside throughout the evening, providing a rapid medical response to riders while ensuring staff, volunteers and spectators could enjoy another thrilling night of action. If you've never experienced speedway before, it's well worth a visit!

Meanwhile, at Northwood House, we had the pleasure of providing medical cover for Musto's The Lawn Bar – Tequila Tuesday. With over 1,200 people enjoying an incredible evening, VOTE PEDRO kept the crowd dancing and singing along from start to finish, creating another unforgettable night as part of the Cowes Week 200 celebrations.

With multiple teams deployed across the Isle of Wight supporting North Sails Cowes Week and its associated events, we were also tasked yesterday with providing a Paramedic-led High Dependency Inter-Hospital Transfer from the Island to London.

At Centurion Medical IOW, we understand that healthcare doesn't stop because the events calendar is busy. That's why we have the capability to deliver both event medical cover and patient transport simultaneously, without compromising the level of service our clients receive.
