A handfasting is a wonderful alternative or addition to a traditional wedding. It’s the ancient Celtic practice of binding two hands together as you begin your life as one. It’s where the phrase “tying the knot” comes from.

You can have a handfasting as part of your wedding celebration or you can have a stand alone handfasting ceremony with rituals to represent your love for each other.

Today is the day of my very first handfasting ceremony. We have some beautiful rituals taking place in this bespoke ceremony crafted for the couple who are both nature lovers.

It’s taken a year of planning and getting ready and today I’m excited (and a little nervous) as the couple tie the knot.
We have the wonderful Katy Alexandria Photography taking our pictures and I can’t wait to share them with you all.

It’s going to be a magical day all around ✨❤️
