August was magical, it was special, it was also full on & A LOT.

Youngest is back to school on Monday after almost 7 weeks off (I miss it when it was actually 6 weeks 😂)

We didn't do loads. We wrote our own rules in a world that wants us constantly feeling like we have to do all the things, keep kids constantly busy and entertained & be go, go, go.

We chose, few activities & days out but ones that felt so right & aligned for us.

I used to think I needed to do more coz society kept telling me I did & then one day I woke up & realised that's all capitalistic conditioning that hurts us. We are a 'less-is-more family.' Too many family activities and out-ings drain us. It makes us all grumpy. We do like our home lol. My kids are home birds 🐦😅

And, gah, I'm proud coz running a business from home around the kids is quite something & somehow I have grown my business in that time 🤯🙌🥳

Went to Brownsea Island years ago (I think the last time was 2019) & ever since, it's been one of those places we've said we go back to & just never got around to it. Then at the weekend we said "fck it, let's do it". Sometimes things really just are a decision to do something you keep saying you wanna do.
