A Cacao Ceremony offers us time for reflection, rest and reconnection with ourself and what matters to us. I guide a meditation journey, we share songs and simply enjoy being together in a really welcoming space. The ceremony is also guided intuitively and may include breath practices, sound and/or healing rituals.

Some photos from a fun spooky plants workshop I delivered last week at Norfolk Street Arts in Sunderland. I turned to good old coffee (whole sketchbooks at college were full of coffee painted pages!) to prep the paper, giving a lovely vintage backdrop to draw some of these interesting plants on.

When finished, each little plant card is hung on some string to put up as a witchy autumnal decoration as we enter the darker months and move towards Samhain and Halloween celebrations - whichever you connect with.

It was great researching these plants (although I knew many of them, some were new) - some extremely poisonous with fascinating histories, others sticky and carnivorous and some that are harmless but look spooky 👻 I put a little quiz together to guess the plants too which was fun..

First photo is my little interpretation of an Inky Cap mushroom (they decompose, turning into inky mush, spreading their spores! The ink can also be used to paint with when properly processed)

A restorative few hours for you to slow down and take care of your heart and spirit. There’s always a group of warm and welcoming humans that join me for these gatherings and I’m grateful for all the people I’ve met and am yet to meet..

Most of us don’t have enough space or time to really consider important questions about life, our feelings or thoughts, dreams and the connection we have to ourself. These few hours are my way of offering a dedicated space for this sort of reflection and a time to rest and receive the wisdom and heart medicine that Cacao generously shares with us.

I look forward to welcoming you at a gathering soon.

Couldn’t fit all I wanted to say into this vid as there’s a knowing in the background that I’m on some kind of timer ha ha but wanted to put my voice out there and share a little about singing in prep for Sundays singing event I’m holding in Seaham 🎶

It’s been a bit of a chaotic time for me lately, worry about the future, anxiety about the present, money, work - all the things coming up for an existential over thinking party! Anxiety still here somewhat today but all is well. After my singing circle last night I’m feeling super enthusiastic about community singing, as a high priority for human wellbeing and health!

Some cosy visuals from Sundays Cacao Ceremony at Earthlings The Healing Cafe - Newcastle ☕️ 🌱 🌷 I’m grateful to those who joined and co created such a safe and healing space with me.

We reflected on emotions, our experience of this seemingly complex inner process/communication system of ours that has been historically demonised, manipulated and vastly misunderstood.

This misunderstanding is at the centre of so much suffering and I think the whole topic of emotions requires serious contemplation, unlearning and relearning. I’m glad I can create places for convos to explore this with curiosity.

I brought Clematis from the garden and other plants that are deffo home to fairies and elven beings! 🧚 the altar felt like a little portal to some other realm, where beings speak languages made of symbols that generate peace and harmony upon expression 🕊️ Imagine!

I’m thankful for the knowledge that has woven its way into my life over the last 15 years. For the opportunity to learn, heal and see life from so many different perspectives. Not just the stories and ‘rules’ of how our world works and what a ‘human being’ is ✨

Making an Altar is a ritual of connecting 🌸

I place objects intentionally to attune each ceremony space to a more harmonious energy for everyone who joins to receive. Beauty heals the heart. The energy of beauty is palpable and every altar creates a central grounding point for that specific ceremony or ritual, keeping us held together in a sacred bubble whilst we turn inward and self reflect✨

Flowers are the epitome of beauty to me. Each one perfectly designed with their own specific personality. They are a pure expression of grace and divine love! Which is why I love to adorn spaces with flowers and plants, even a few leaves and flower heads change the whole feeling of a space.

During the gathering we’ll drink a warm mug of Cacao together. This is prepared beforehand. I’ll share healing songs, guide a meditation journey and you’ll be invited to reflect and share anything that’s alive for you.
