A little piece of Robert Frith history 👓

The first photo shows an eye exam being carried out at our Shaftesbury practice in the 1970s, and the second photo was taken in the very same room recently.

The technology has moved on. The equipment has evolved. Our understanding of eye health has grown enormously.

But the reason we’re here hasn’t changed.

To care for our patients and help them enjoy the world around them with clear, healthy vision 🤓

It’s a privilege to have been part of the Shaftesbury community for so many years and we’re looking forward to seeing many more💚

But please remember looking directly at the Sun without proper protection can cause serious and permanent eye damage, so protect your eyes while you enjoy the view! 👀

🕶️ DO use certified eclipse glasses
🚫 DON'T use ordinary sunglasses
📱 NEVER look through a phone, camera, binoculars or telescope without the correct solar filter
