Our Manchester East Franchise is run by Roxie and Badar Usmani. They have shown constant passion and dedication to the mission, ethos and values we have at Visiting Angels, and all their hard work has paid off with their latest CQC rating.

They have always supported our carer-centric approach, putting our carers, our people, at the forefront of everything we do. They have been nothing short of exceptional in giving back to their carers and local community; nothing is ever too big of an ask for them.

Our CEO Dan said, "Outstanding isn’t easy; outstanding can’t happen organically or accidentally. In order to be recognised as an outstanding provider, Roxy, Badar, Jodie and the team have had to be very intentional. Staying safe in the heat can be difficult with how unpredictable the UK Weather can be! Here are a few tips from us for those hotter days...

🫗Take small sips of water frequently, even if not feeling thirsty.
🏠Keep windows and blinds closed when the outside temperature exceeds the home's temperature.
🌞Avoid going outside during peak times (11 am - 4 pm)
👗Wear loose, lightweight clothing

One of our angels attended the opening of the Scottish Parliament!

On June 27th, Helen McDade, of the Mid Scotland and Fife Parliamentary constituency, invited a Visiting Angels carer, Georgeta Buzgaru, to join her as a guest at the Scottish Parliament to formally mark the new session of parliament.

Georgetta was nominated following a search for local heroes who had made extraordinary contributions to the lives of others in their community.

Georgeta's work as a frontline at-home carer for people with dementia across Falkirk, Stirling and Alloa earned her some very well-deserved recognition not only from her community and Parliament but from us also.
