This October, we're making mental health a priority at Visiting Angels.

While World Mental Health Day falls on 10 October, we're using the entire month to raise awareness and encourage colleagues across our network to look out for one another.

A simple check-in, a few minutes spent listening, or a kind word can make a real difference. Remember, not everyone's struggles are visible.

If you need support, Visiting Angels has trained Mental Health First Aiders, alongside access to confidential counselling through Angel Care.

Huge congratulations to Tiegan Norris, Registered Manager at Visiting Angels Cannock, Lichfield & Tamworth, who was named Highly Commended Registered Manager of the Year at the Staffordshire Dignity in Care Awards 2026.

The awards, held on 24 September, recognise those making a real difference across care in Staffordshire, and we’re delighted to see Tiegan’s work and leadership recognised.

Huge congratulations to Badar Usmani from Visiting Angels Manchester East, who has been named a finalist for Home Care Registered Manager of the Year – North West at the Great British Care Awards 2026!

This recognition follows another fantastic achievement for Manchester East, having previously received an Outstanding CQC rating, and reflects the leadership, the team and the service they provide to clients and families.

Badar and Roxie have always placed a real focus on creating a workplace where their Angels feel valued and supported, recognising that great care starts with the people providing it.
