Za Fibroids Journey Fibroids awareness 💛
Sharing my real journey with strength, honesty & hope. Raising awareness, supporting others & taking life one step at a time 💛

When you’re living with fibroids and struggling with pain, heavy bleeding and other symptoms, it’s understandable to want to try anything that promises relief. 💛

But please be careful. I’ve had women share experiences of paying for supposed fibroid “cures”, being blocked afterwards, or taking products that they say didn’t help or made them feel worse.

Ask questions. Know what you’re taking. And be cautious of anyone guaranteeing they can cure or make your fibroids disappear.

We’re already going through enough. Don’t become a victim again. 💛

My last post was simply asking what fibroids are called in my language.

I received quite a few private messages, and I genuinely appreciate every person who reached out. 💛

But it also made me wonder how many people are still uncomfortable talking openly about their health because they’re afraid of being judged.

Nobody chooses to be sick. Nobody chooses fibroids or any other health condition.

If you’re living with something, please don’t be ashamed of yourself. Be proud that you’re still showing up and continuing, even on the difficult days.

Maybe the more openly we talk about our health, the less alone someone else will feel. 💛

Can you get pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy with fibroids? đŸ€°đŸŸđŸ’›

For many women, the answer is yes. But fibroids can affect women differently, and factors such as their size, number and location can matter.

If you’re pregnant or planning a pregnancy and have fibroids, speak with your healthcare team about what they mean for you personally.

Have fibroids been part of your pregnancy journey? 💛

People sometimes ask me why I don’t take time off work when I’m not feeling well.

The reality is, I’ve been living with fibroids for years. If I stayed home every time I experienced pain, exhaustion, heavy bleeding or another difficult symptom, there would be times when I’d hardly be at work.

I have responsibilities, and life doesn’t simply stop because I’m having a difficult day.

That doesn’t mean pushing yourself when you’re genuinely too unwell. Rest matters, and sometimes taking time off is necessary.

But this is the reality of living with a long-term condition for me: learning when I can keep going and recognising when my body really needs me to stop. 💛

Staying positive during my fibroids journey doesn’t mean pretending everything is okay. 💛

I still have painful days, exhausting days and moments when it all feels like too much.

For me, staying positive simply means holding onto hope, appreciating the good moments when they come and reminding myself that fibroids are part of my journey, but they are not my whole life.

Some days, just getting through the day is an achievement.

One day at a time. 💛

What helps you stay positive on your difficult days?

The last two weeks have been really difficult with my fibroids.

I had a lot of pain on the left side of my pelvis, together with this strange feeling of heaviness. At times, it honestly felt like everything inside had moved to that side. đŸ˜© I know that’s not actually what was happening, but that’s the best way I can describe how it felt.

Thankfully, I’m not feeling that same heaviness now, but those two weeks were not easy. 💛

If you have fibroids, have you ever experienced one-sided pelvic pain or that heavy feeling?

Just imagine taking a midnight walk, hoping it might ease the pain because nothing else has worked
and you’re still wide awake at 01:00 am knowing you have work in the morning. đŸ„ș

But there were some beautiful moments yesterday. Earlier, I saw the eclipse, and then during my night walk, I saw a shooting star. 🌙✹

The pictures didn’t do the eclipse justice, but I’m grateful I got to experience it with my own eyes.

Sometimes, even on the hardest days, life still gives you little moments of beauty. đŸ€

Looking back at beautiful memories from Isla Mujeres, Mexico. đŸ‡ČđŸ‡œđŸŒŽđŸ’›

The sunshine, the ocean, the views and just being able to explore somewhere so beautiful.

Life comes with its challenges, but there are also moments that remind us to enjoy where we are, appreciate what we can do and create memories while we can.

Isla Mujeres, you were beautiful. 🌊💛

One symptom people may not always connect with fibroids is needing the toilet more often. 💛

Depending on their size and location, fibroids can put pressure on the bladder.

For me, the bladder pressure doesn’t just mean more trips to the toilet—it also interrupts my rest and leaves me feeling exhausted the next day.

It may seem like a small symptom, but it can affect your sleep, your energy and how you manage everyday life.

Different symptoms. Different journeys. Same compassion. 💛
