I love a candle. My private clients know I often have one or my Neom scenting the studio.

Big thanks to the lovely Sarah for this St Eval candle. I love their fragrances! If you haven’t tried them they’re a great local brand here in the South West.

I’m so delighted to display these handmade cards too from Sarah and Penny. Gorgeous prints. Thank you! 🙏

Love my end of term gifts! We have already eaten the courgettes and raspberries grown by Penny and yesterday I was surprised with these delights!

My clients know me so well, a hot mess who needs alcohol, chocolate and peace and quiet! 😂😂

All group classes have now finished for the summer. Thanks to everyone in my matwork classes for enduring my Pilates pulse party….

Rebooking is open for the Autumn term and I’m so thrilled that most spaces are already snapped up.

I’ll open any capacity for new clients from August.

Huge thanks to the teams who run the halls I work out of and to all by fabulous clients!

My private work continues through the holidays.

Love my clients.

Due to the heat, one of my halls had an ant problem the other week and I spent two hours ‘dealing’ with it.

There was a lot of laughter as I swotted things with my flip flop, often amid silence, causing people to jump!

So today this has made me laugh.

One of my 9 o’clockers bought me to insect killer!!

Love this. So thoughtful. Who needs wine at the end of term!

Oh hello, Dr!

I’ve been saying this to my clients every time we do this.

The reverse lunge is such a powerful and demanding movement but the payoff is greater than the pain!

You see, it is not just me that makes people do these!

Huff and puff with me, it’s doing us good!

Bring your pet to Pilates!!

I wasn’t expecting this but when a client asked if he could bring his spider in from his car due to the hot weather, I said yes!

Meet this three year old, still to be named!

He stayed firmly in his box!

Ever wonder why I sometimes pick up the pace before holding a balance?

In this clip, we are ramping up the heart rate with side taps and then lunges using a resistance band.

Moving the body like this isn't just about the cardio burn—it is a strategic way to trick your core into working harder.

When you transition from fast movement straight into a sudden balance, your body has to use deceleration.

To stop yourself from falling over, your nervous system forces your deep core muscles to fire up instantly to stabilise you.

The video cuts off right before the final balance challenge, but that is exactly how it feels in class.

Check out the clip to see: The side tap and lunge sequence that gets the heart rate pumping.

Form fixes to keep those shoulders heavy (even when they want to creep up!).

How we use resistance bands to keep constant tension which adds another layer to the workout.

Notice how I can check form online too! I see EVERYTHING.

Come on, if George can do it, so can you.

What a legend.

Do some press-ups from a box position (with your knees under your hips) or against a wall. Another option is against your worktop and press down to the surface and then away again.

Today, let’s all be a bit George.

All finished for the day and now at the beach!

I switched two 1:1 clients from this afternoon to tomorrow due to the high temperatures.

A great effort from participants today both in class and in the studio.

Aren’t we lucky to have this down the road! Bit choppy in Preston today but the breeze is insane.

It’s hot!

We have a calm and measured session planned today.

An understandable few cancellations but for those who come we will mobilise all your joints and get you ready to flop on the sofa later!

Eugh, who else has woken up feeling meh from the hot night?

Do not force yourself through a sweaty workout if you do t have the energy to do it.

Your body doesn’t want it, and your nervous system definitely doesn’t need it!

Instead, lay down on the floor today for a zero-sweat, ultra-gentle movement break.

I’ve put together a 12-minute guided session featuring my "Desert Island Discs" playlist—the essential, gentle moves to unstick your spine and de-bloat your limbs in extreme heat.

We are not lifting the hips today—it's a gentle, relaxing roll to massage your lower spine.Grab a cold glass of water, lay your mat down, and let's move with ease.

The link to the full, free 12-minute class is in the comments below!
