I felt like I needed to make a statement on why and how not to expect the average art workshop experience when someone meets us the first time.
We are different.
In many ways.
Yes,I even go and draw on children's works, just like that.
•we aim to nurture childrens minds first, then their eyes and hands. No step-by-step, alien drawing projects but understandable and clear method to learn how to see and understand the world around.
•we graft. Drawing or painting is 99% relies on NOT natural talent, but honest and hard work. Ask the masters themselves.
•we mix philosophy, geography, theology, history, science and anthropology into our sessions, because art is all of them at the same time.
•we are based around stories, discussions and debates.About works, lives, nature, war, trends and anything that needs to be covered to fully engage with a piece of art, a person lived long ago, or the friend sitting opposite the table. This offers invaluable experience and support to children who struggle with practical skills, gives new layers of knowledge and belief to all who tend to scratch the surface of everything to get a deeper thought.
•we embrace fundamentals while fully supporting style over "soulless" projects. We copy, copy, copy until each and every child find their own style. It doesn't happen over time, and it changes all the time.
I hope we get each other now.
Cheers
