Ever wondered what the healthiest way to start your day is? 🌞

The truth is, there’s no single “perfect” morning routine. Everyone’s lifestyle, health and schedule are different. Life can be very busy and hard to find time for ourselves!

However, there are a few simple habits that can help you feel more energised, focused and ready for the day ahead.

💧 Start by hydrating
After 7–8 hours without a drink, your body wakes up slightly dehydrated. Aim to drink around 300–500ml of water within the first hour of waking to support concentration, digestion and energy levels.

🚶 Get your body moving
Even 10–20 minutes of gentle movement, such as a brisk walk, yoga or a short workout, can improve circulation, lift your mood and help wake up both your body and brain.

☀️ Get some morning daylight
Try to spend 10–15 minutes outside soon after waking, even if it’s cloudy. Natural light helps regulate your body’s internal clock, boosts alertness and can improve your sleep later that night by supporting healthy melatonin production.

📵 Resist the urge to check your phone immediately
Scrolling through emails or social media as soon as you wake can increase stress and leave you feeling reactive before your day has even begun.

🍳 Choose a protein-rich breakfast
Protein helps keep you fuller for longer, supports muscle health and can reduce mid-morning energy crashes. Great options include:
• Eggs and avocados on wholegrain toast
• Greek yoghurt with berries and nuts
• Porridge topped with seeds and nut butter
• A quick protein smoothie made with milk or yoghurt, fruit and oats

❤️ Remember, healthy habits don’t have to be all or nothing. Even adding one or two of these simple steps to your morning can make a real difference over time. If fitting these habits into your day feels difficult, consider setting your alarm just 15 minutes earlier—but only if you’re still getting enough sleep. A calm, unhurried start to the day can leave you feeling more focused, productive and energised.

Which healthy morning habit could you start tomorrow?

Although Chicken Pox is common and can self resolve, sadly in some children it can cause serious complications.

While no vaccination offers 100% protection, the chicken pox vaccine can significantly reduce the severity of the illness and complications.

🌟Low testosterone is far more common than most men realise🌟
Constant fatigue? Low mood? Brain fog? Reduced libido? Poor recovery in the gym? Or just feeling burnt out?
It might not just be “getting older.”

The good news? Proper testosterone treatment can genuinely improve quality of life.

The important part? Doing it safely.

Testosterone replacement therapy isn’t a quick fix and it’s not risk-free. A proper assessment is essential to rule out other medical conditions and ensure treatment is right for you.

That’s why specialist endocrinology review and structured monitoring matter. At Shropshire Health, we provide assessments, ongoing prescriptions, regular blood monitoring, and long-term follow-up to keep treatment safe and effective.

Don’t ignore the symptoms. Get checked.
